Big match this week. Just got our tickets for Saturday. Two big matches really. This Rice game can’t be overlooked. I totally forgot they have Rice on Wednesday. That should be fun. Texas has K-State as well. |

Call me a homer, but Szech was absolutely robbed of Rookie of the Week.
She averaged 2.38 kills and hit .607 with 1.25 blocks a set

I’ll be in Waco for Baylor Homecoming so won’t be able to tune into today’s match vs. K-State. Any road match in the Big 12 makes me nervous (never a night off), but the team responded well against Tech after the loss to Texas. Hoping for another big match from E. McGhee

Second half of league play kicks off soon against Oklahoma. Baylor has seen a recent surge from Carlson, Talbert, and E. McGhee while Harrison, K. McGhee and Sczech have struggled some over the last 4 matches.
Elise McGhee has really elevated herself over the last 4. Her stats over those matches vs. the overall season: K/S- 3.73 > 2.30, hitting percentage .307 > .240, B/S - .60 > .48.
Talbert had a great week against TTU and KSU, avering 3.5 k/s on .545 hitting percentage. She also had 5 aces, including 4 against Tech. Interestingly, she is averaging more digs than blocks but Kara's blocking has been down some as well.
Hoping to see these two continue their connection with Carlson and that the others get back into their groove, particularly Kara on offense.
