I'm obviously ecstatic for her but HUH?? what was the logic lmao, I think you could count the number of starting liberos not on scholarship on 1-2 hands. none of her caliber Well she was a DS behind Bramschreiber last season. She’s obviously exceeded what the coaching staff may have expected of her and they have rewarded her accordingly. oh i didn't think she would've been on it last year but would've thought they would've given Brams to her this season. either way, everyone in here is right. she MORE than proved she deserved one this year, wow |

A) That's awesome and well deserved.
B) What a genius way to motivate a key player just before the tournament starts. Not that she wasn't dedicated before, but now Briseno will probably run through a brick wall for the team.

Also though she was a stellar DS, she wasn’t guaranteed to be a stellar libero but at this point they really had no choice but to give it to her. I wonder what impact that has on the rest of the roster. Also Baylor went to the Final Four with Tara Wulf at libero who was also a walk-on (and soooo underrated). |

Houstonbear, what are your thoughts on Baylor’s pod? I generally feel okay about the first weekend though the second round matchup could be interesting depending on who Baylor plays. I think I’d prefer to face Rice just for the familiarity aspect but I also have only seen Colorado play once so I’m not too sure how they would match up with BU. Luckily, Baylor has played their best volleyball at home over the last few seasons and I believe it is a big advantage. However, I just can’t help but keep in mind Colorado just straight up whooping Baylor in the second round in Waco in 2017. |
