I am trying to remember Simpson in Club from a couple years ago - I was thinking she was playing RS? If I was Baylor and had one scholarship for a transfer - I am thinking an OH before a MB. Carlson has got to be setter day 1. There is no reason to bring in another scholarship setter for next year. Simpson is listed as an OH/OPP on the roster. Her only playtime came in the exhibition match against Texas A&M and she was playing on the outside. I just trust the young depth at outside much more than in the middle. If Baylor does go after an outside, maybe we see Elise McGhee transition to the middle. I forgot that Simpson was in the 21 class - I was thinking 22. Being there for over a year makes it more likely that she will be ready. That said, I don't see her or Harrison being able to handle serve receive well enough to count on. |

I'd be less worried about her serve receive and more about her backrow defense. |

Still surprised after the first few months Baylor hasn't had any transfers. I still think they need a middle. Unless Elise McGhee moves to it which could be a good option.
