spoilerboilermakers -- Louisville's schedule says the match will be aired on ACCNX. So if you're subscribed to ESPN+ and have the app, you should be able to watch it. At least, I haven't had any problems watching matches on ACCNX this year. Purdue's match against Xavier/Lipscomb will be aired on FloVolleyball though. Boooooooooo! Thank you for letting me know that information. I’ll be watching through my espn plus app then.

Louisville returns six of their top eight from a team that was the #1 seed in the NCAA tournament. They will be difficult to beat at their place. Ohio State returned seven of their top eight and needed to win badly after three losses to open the season against #1 Texas (2 times) and a top ten San Diego. The Cardinals will be ready. I am hoping that Purdue snatches at least 1 set from Louisville. I know that Louisville will be angry that they lost to OSU and will want to get the bad taste out of their mouths.

I really enjoy listening to the weekly press conference. Dave is about as honest with the public as you will find a coach. He is looking for improvement in the three senior pins and setting. I appreciate his candidness about it. It is also clear that he understands Friday is difficult match up for this team. Regardless, this Boiler team has some very nice pieces that will allow them to compete and possibly pull an upset if a few key individuals have a good night.

I am liking that they are streaming the press conferences in full now. They would only stream snippets or NCAA tournament ones in years past. Every week they have a live press conference now.

Schermerhorn has been fantastic. With as much concern as I heard about her in this thread over the last few weeks shouldn’t there be some crow eating happening? 🤣 Yes, I was thinking the same. Ahem... "...we're going to rely a lot on Maddie Schermerhorn, who will probably start the season as our libero." - Dave Shondell

I will gladly admit to Schermerhorn proving me wrong so far and looking pretty solid. Hope she continues to improve! My fans gotta do better keeping up with my posts.

Can the freshmen Eva keep this up? She certainly looks like the real deal and hasn't looked one bit intimidated so far. But Louisville's gym will be loud and proud, and their block is fierce. So we'll see how she responds. Can't wait.

On this day 6 years ago, underdog Purdue defeated eventual National Champion Stanford in a reverse sweep at Stanford. May we never forget.

That one hurts. That 3rd set slipped through their fingers. This team is young and not as experienced. This was a good learning experience. I am hoping that Purdue grows from this and just gets better. They had some good spurts and great rallies. Just couldn’t get it together for too long.

Not sure where that was posted, but the 3rd set was Purdue 25-27 Louisville: purduesports.com/sports/womens-volleyball/stats/2022/louisville/boxscore/56795
