Okay time to talk about UCLA's loss. Without Luper, this could be a challenging season. They need her playing consistently to perform as a top 25 team, otherwise this could be a growing season. At this time Leverette nor Olson could step into that role successfully today. Both hitting negative. Neither McCall nor Ndiaye had the best numbers either. Also, libero possibly needs to be switched up. Cole with 6 digs in 4 sets, might not quite be enough. The middles played well at least.

Opener at altitude is not easy, but the most concerning thing is no Luper! I hope she is able to get fully healthy!

Yes, she played all sets as DS, with a total of 5 digs. McCarthy the other DS had 11 digs, leading the team. Seems like she is making a case for being libero, after that first game. |

UCLA finish the weekend 1-1. Better hitting numbers by the pins in their second match. Nice to see the freshmen Olson have a good game today. Hoping Luper is back to play next weekend's games. |
