Always fun to watch. Not sure what's going to happen but the Swenson sisters are back and once again playing a year up for MN Select 18-1. Still think the 15-17's are more interesting. Anyone had a good handle on what's going on with some of the major (or minor) clubs? Like what's happening in TX?What do you mean? Are you asking who’s who this year across club scene?

SD Wave 17's are really good. I watched a few of their girls play HS season in the fall.

Only T-Street Inland Empire had a team in the Top 12 Power pools. All the teams are very good, but they did not make the top 6 for Gold Bracket play.

Which is the least competitive region? Out of all the regions or just the ones listed at the top? USAV Region Map
Regions like Alaska and Palmetto aren’t going to have as high of a level of competition but it’s hard to say out of the more populous ones listed above. Regions like Hoosier and Great Plains only have a handful of competitive or recognizable clubs in comparison to Southern California, North Texas, or Lone Star. Thanks for the info, cool map.

I can't think of a more lethal OH duo on the same team than Stafford/Babcock for Sunshine so I'm somewhat surprised to see losses to LB and Coast, though not entirely.

Coast is loaded and Sunshine ( last year's team) has some serve receive struggles. I would bet we see Coast and 1st Alliance in the top by the end of the season again.

Distribution among the front was pretty even for Coast, Middles were just one component. But, middles open the pins. Stafford and Babcock made their presence known for sure. Coast on Sunday was down three players. Wave and Coast (et al) also have stacked elite OH's; everyone at this level is very good =)

Looks like SoCal is sending Wave, Sunshine LA, and Coast to the Windy City 18s Qualifier. I wonder if qualifiers would be better if you could only join from adjacent states....

Might as well, if the Top Open teams just follow each-other to the same Qualifiers, doesn't seem the most helpful for their region. For SCVA, or the Chicago area teams.

Is there a cap on number of teams from a region going to each out of area USAV Qualifier? I know sometimes we see some decent teams playing in USA or American or National divisions at qualifiers?
