I remember watching Sami Francis with Coast when she was 13. I believe she was listed at 6'0" at that time. Now she is a 6'6" sophomore at Stanford.

Pools for the 18s and 16s Power League for the SCVA this weekend in SoCal. Any other Regions have tourneys this weekend? Qualifiers start next weekend for 18s. 18s SCVA Power Pools (16s as well)

Which is the least competitive region? I would think the Puget Sound Region, Palmetto, and those in the large area/low population areas.

It's time for the 18s Qualifier in Windy City this weekend (Shaumburg). The pools are posted and after this last weekend where Coast went undefeated for the second time in the SoCal regional tournaments, with Mizuno Long Beach in Second, Sunshine LA Third, and Wave in Fourth, Coast, Sunshine, and Wave will all be trying for a bid. Club V will have the 1 Seed with Coast 2, Circle City with the 3 Seed and Mintonette with the 4th overall seed. Should be a very competitive weekend. 18s Pools for Day 1

I only saw them briefly last year at Nationals, I think they were eliminated by Club V (not certain). Is Chicione an early enroll for college, or did she switch teams?

Question about USAV bids... If a team plays Open the whole year and doesn't get a bid for Open, do they get automatic bids for a lower division?

Question about USAV bids... If a team plays Open the whole year and doesn't get a bid for Open, do they get automatic bids for a lower division? No. Best case in this scenario would be going to an open qualifier with multiple clubs already having bids & getting the trickle down if those teams finished at the top of the bracket.

Question about USAV bids... If a team plays Open the whole year and doesn't get a bid for Open, do they get automatic bids for a lower division? Thats why you see some clubs play a lower level first, like USA to secure a bid and then play Open. Some and maybe all regions have a tournament too where you can earn a bid at the lower levels as well.
