Can someone refresh the transfer tea thread so all the drama queens who breathlessly waited and hoped to see if their team would get a player in the portal to help them become a better team can cleanse their souls of what ever garbage their posting now. Thanks Is this supposed to be a dig at me? I don’t recall ever suggesting that Texas shouldn’t be allowed to get transfers or have stacked teams or whatever. No I was agreeing with you and piggy backing on your post. Lol It’s just sour grapes. All the same people were glued to that thread hoping top talent would make its way to their school. When several choose Texas (only because several players chose to go elsewhere from Texas or it would not have been an option) did the it ruin the game. Same on Caffey. It’s all well and good for Nebraska to have an AA MB on the roster due to NIL (in essence an extra scholarship). But the moment she chose to leave for Texas, 😱😱😱OMG that’s not what NIL was supposed to be about oh the travesty.

Nebraska’s too, FWIW. I’ve made my opinion on this well known. As a fan of a low drama, high quality program that never has players leave, it baffles me why players would lineup to go to schools with public and private drama and high transfer rates just for a bit of fame or, nowadays, money, or whatever, but it’s not for me to understand - I am not them. But not understanding why players would choose these things is different than suggesting that they shouldn’t be able to. Players should be free to play for whichever school they want to, consistent with the rules laid out. The transfer portal is no different now than it’s been in the recent past.

I have no problem with someone saying I don’t like Texas I don’t want player x going to Texas I want them to come to my school. My issue is when you say that don’t tell me the portal is the root of all evil when the player chooses Texas and not you school/conference. Just say I hate Texas and they shouldn’t have gone there and I’m good with that opinion.

Yea ig that is the case I just also feel like McGraw got a lot of serves at her as well, I was thinking some of those should’ve went to Landfair.. I feel like Fleck especially was targeting McGraw all night💀 Similar to how Fleck had 20 attempts, I don't think either libero were purposfully targetted, they just covered more ground and poached seams.A good, aggressive libero should be able to do that. Texas served area 1, not McGraw. Shaffmaster struggles on balls passed from area 1. McGraw passed a 63% GP% but Minnesota only scored a point directly from her passes (FBSO) 18.5% of the time. Serving area 1 limits Shaffmaster, even on good passes.

seriously, if it's not one thing with us, it's another. Aren't y'all TIRED?! Honestly, the match thread for Texas at OSU was very civil and enjoyable. Yet, for whatever reason, so much hate/blame/whining was spewed in this thread. Not exactly sure why as the outcome was the same as in the OSU matches. Nothing changed from last weekend to the middle of this week as far as the personnel (on Texas' side of the net). So, what have I concluded? Win or lose, the same non-Texas posters will take their jabs just to try and make themselves feel better.

You can't force someone to be a better player in their lifetime at their position, if they physically are not able to improve. Now...am I on target with that statement, or way off base? The mechanics need to be there.

The mechanics need to be there. Its bad logic because your premise is false "physically are not able to improve". All of these players are physically able. Now I realize that logic may be lost on some people.

I just re-watched the match and, while I understand the philosophy behind not putting players' names on jerseys, it does a disservice to players IMO. The freshman playing OPP was really good and I would be a fan of hers if I could remember her name. Also, this is the age of NIL. Name recognition matters.
