Every team wants the perfect,IMO she is a good setter that at 6-3 brings other attributes such as her ability to attack and a bigger block. She missed some sets but I wouldn’t single her out considering Minnesota out hit Texas in Gregory which rarely happens. its never one players faulty, but there was a stretch in the 4th set where about 4 out of 6 of the sets she made were almost unhittable which is just not acceptable for someone in the 3rd season and on a top 5 team The passing was not very good in set 4 for Minnesota either though. I’d be interested to see what the set 4 passing stats were.

I don't dislike shaffmaster and think she has a lot of upside. shell make great fast sets to the pin and follow it up with something the hitter can barely swing at

Ha ha. He got me. There were no setting errors in set four. Shaff was great. It was our errors and Texas' superior defense that got them the win in that tough 4th set.
BTW, at least in set 4, it did not seem like there were very many serves to zone 1 as someone stated earlier. There was one, however, near the beginning, where Shaff had a great set to Booth.
My thinks we have some trolls in our midst.

Maybe it’s been called out and I just missed it. And I don’t believe she had anything to do with passing in the 4 set.

Please continue dogging your setter, and I’m the troll for saying you can’t single her out. You people kill me.

I would certainly not call either stanfordvb nor bwf3 trolls. bwf3 simply made one post. stanfordvb is a terrific poster with a multiple team fan disorder (I just made that up). You are right that neither one are Minnesota fans that I know of, but I feel like they’re simply expressing an opinion, not actually trolling anyone. I wouldn’t take their comments so personally, but you’re a Minnesota fan and you want to stick up for one of your team’s most important players, so I get that. But be suspicious of that nelly nel guy for sure.

I talk about shortcomings of players on teams im a fan of too. ive found the more blindly defensive someone is of the players on a specific team, the less volleyball they've played lol

That’s all.

And I’ll have you know my name still rings in the halls of Smith Middle school where my 8 ace performance in the 6th grade intramural volleyball championship sealed the win. 😜True story though.

I like Minnesota and I want them to do well. the fact that one off you actually went back and watched the set and then continued to say I was lying after seeing both of those plays is beyond me. both of those points are entirely on shaffmaster. completely missing those two sets off of good passes would be the equivalent of mccgraw overpassing two freeballs. im sorry you all think im hating on your favorite team and I wasn't going to post this but if you are going to say that I am lying to sound superior, I guess ill give you exact examples of extremely poor setting by shaffmaster

The other set off the net was played. Shaff had to put the out of system sets off the net to the pin because the Texas block was good and tight sets were getting blocked. That is two sets, btw, and not four and not "in a row". You overstate your case to get a rise out of people and to sound superior at the expense of a player.
