These are the 10 longest and coincidently the only match threads over 100 pages long (that I could find). This thread is tied for the 6th longest currently (121 pages), and it is the only thread that wasn't an NCAA tournament match. These are from me, avid 2.0 , and rainbowbadger . If anyone knows of any match threads (not international) over 100 pages that aren't on this list I'd be mildy interested to know, though I don't know that there are any. I looked back as far as 2015 and there were a few in the 15-17 that were in the 80 pages range but that's it. A lot more drama these days eh? 240 21 NC wisconsin vs nebraska 186 18 NC nebraska vs stanford 160 21 E8 nebraska vs texas 146 21 FF louisville vs wisconsin 144 21spring NC texas vs kentucky 121 21 FF neb vs pitt 121 22 preseason stanford vs nebraska113 19 S16 hawaii vs nebraska 109 19 NC wisconsin vs stanford 102 21spring FF wisconsin vs texas This is the content we need. 122 pages, sole 6th

The good news for Nebraska is they can recover via a portal transfer (or maybe another setter recruit).
Maybe the younger Kubik was #1 in some ranking, but off the top of my head, that doesn't seem right. Hayden dropped in the rankings after being ranked Number 1. She may have still been #1 when she committed but I'm pretty sure she had already fallen.

Orr right now sort of reminds me of Leilah Smith. It's still TBD at this point for Nebraska, but she could end up being a highly ranked recruit that isn't going to pan out due to medical issues. The good news for Nebraska is they can recover via a portal transfer (or maybe another setter recruit).
I don't think that bunch of recruits passes the eye test versus Plummer/Hentz/Gray/Fitzmorris, but that's ok. I mean, there are #1 classes and there are #1 classes, as their quality and impact varies from year to year.
Maybe the younger Kubik was #1 in some ranking, but off the top of my head, that doesn't seem right. Was the 2016 Stanford #1 class the best to ever do it? They have to be close. Maybe surpassed by Penn State in 2007 (or 2008, whenever that class with the 4 championships was)?

I remember one of those being much longer than the typical Texas thread back then. Surprised Hawaii has never had one go 100 pages.

TBH, the more I think about it Cook just can’t understand how he bagged the number 1 recruit that isn’t able to consistently set a ball without doubling. I mean this shouldn’t be happening on a top 25 team. I can’t take the excuses that she hasn’t played in two years as a valid excuse… maybe the first day or two of practice but not now. There’s a bigger issue at hand here. Yea, it’s called a knee. Orr is doubling balls because she isn’t getting her feet to the ball. It’s really not that difficult.

She had to get surgery in March, which set her back again. It also didn’t help her confidence to start the season with all this hype and then get benched. She should have been able to work through her struggles instead of getting pulled.

well, if Cook had an eye twitch the wrong way, we'd easily go another 30 pages An eye twitch would show a sliver of emotional range that he simple isn’t capable of.

They literally spent every opportunity in front of the mic saying she was getting the keys to the offense and would be back to her prep days self. The "keys to the offense" comment was from December, and I think the media parroted it way too much, especially with Hames' "new role" being ambiguous and the staff making it clear that she was still taking setter reps. I think you're exaggerating. The comments from fall camp were that Orr was "playing like a freshman." She had days where "she was spectacular" and others where she was "like a freshman" and trying to get over some inconsistencies. The "back to her prep days" self does not exist, to my knowledge. Slight exaggeration sure. But she was hella hyped early and often. Maybe the struggles did start in the fall, but the hype was palpable throughout the offseason.
