Can we hear from those who were calling for Shane Davis' head just a year ago?
Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

I'm old and went to bed. Figured they had it in the bag 3-1 after sets 2 & 3.
Sheesh

I really have no idea what the heck to expect It just means that they're not a great team.
Minn, Wisc, NW ... probably all belong somewhere in the #15-25 range. Good ... not great.

Good for NW, but this was yet another MN disappointment. 1. MN middles are SLOW on D and that's why I'd like to see more Carter. Wasn't Booth starting?? So you're criticizing how slow she was at closing the block ... and so you want to see more of her?
Or did you mean Davis or Gros?

not glaring but Shaff was pretty wonderfully offensive on Sunday. Tonite offensive. Not very focused. A few nice sets on the right to Wenaas. too many routine sets that NW was eventually able to turn into blocks At least in the first three sets that I actually saw, it was one of the best performances I recall from Shaff with regards to setting the middle fairly cleanly. Look at the very first set she gave to Husemann. An actual, straight up quick middle set, that was right on the money in terms of timing and height!!! !!!!!!
So you know that such a thing of course was only attempted maybe a handful of times in a 5 set match.
I get that our pins were rated #1, #1, and #3 players in their classes (yay ....... neat ...) , but this team will not make it past the Sweet Sixteen if we don't get more middle kills. Will not.

Wow, turned the match off last night after Set 3 when I figured MN had righted the ship and would take Set 4 and put away a 3 - 1 win. Great job NW!
Other than Texas, how many other top 10 teams do we really have this season so far? MN certainly didn't look like a typical #7 to me, as Wise is flawed and not a typical #8, Stanford same, et al. I've seen Lou and think they're top 10. SD's result suggest they are too. NEB somehow has found a way to only lose once so far so maybe them. But there are losses to be had in B1G for all the teams in that conference. What a fun, crazy season so far.

Can we hear from those who were calling for Shane Davis' head just a year ago? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Well let's be honest. It didn't look like things were going to get better. What is the deal with Minnesota? How are they so up and down?

So you bring Wisconsin into your lossless of shame because you lost to NW? Drag your own team, leave us alone.🤣

Somebody already said it, but NW just taking big rips on OOS balls. I keep thinking the rally will go MN's way and then a Wildcat just rips it and good things happen. They turned a lot of garbage into gold all night.

They turned a lot of garbage into gold all night. Yeah, MN doesn't do this. They just "keep it in." Wucherer seems to be a little more daring, but she'll probably have that coached out of her soon. NW just got so many more decent swings. With how often MN is out of system, "getting it in" is not going to cut it. I'm looking at you Taylor Landfair and your non-jumping taps. Go for some high hands or something good lord! Shaff was decent first set. Actually quite good when the passing was there. But like I've said before multiple times on this forum, she really struggles to better the ball when she takes it with her hands. Almost unheard of for her to push all the way across the court.

Thanks for asking about this! I was going to but decided to leave it alone. Booth started and was never pulled so I’m not sure how much “more” of her we can see. 🤷🏾♂️
