Is the replay video available and if so where. Full replay is up at BTN-Plus, but that's a subscription thing.

They turned a lot of garbage into gold all night. Yeah, MN doesn't do this. They just "keep it in." Wucherer seems to be a little more daring, but she'll probably have that coached out of her soon. NW just got so many more decent swings. With how often MN is out of system, "getting it in" is not going to cut it. I'm looking at you Taylor Landfair and your non-jumping taps. Go for some high hands or something good lord! Shaff was decent first set. Actually quite good when the passing was there. But like I've said before multiple times on this forum, she really struggles to better the ball when she takes it with her hands. Almost unheard of for her to push all the way across the court. Landfair was jumping last night! At least from what I recall watching (don't remember which set), she was at least taking a little hop before swinging. However two in a row (at least) were then into the bottom of the net.

That’s typically due to ball placement on the set. When she takes an approach she is a much more effective hitter imo.

I think what he was referring to is how she would stand completely flat-footed to roll shot the ball over on any kind of OOS play.

Minnesota had to reverse sweep Northwestern last year too in their first meeting. This loss is not the end of the season for Minnesota. They’re fine. They’ll make it to the Elite 8/Final 4 where they’ll inevitably run into another B1G team that will finally eliminate them.

Yes, they are inconsistent and we all hope Hugh can get them to peak at the right time. However, getting to the Elite 8/Final 4 requires 2 weekends/4 matches of consistent play. You cannot overcome inconsistent play in the NCAA tourney.

Yes, the season's young, so turning this floundering ship around is possible, but it won't be easy.

rousseau for big ten setter of the year Since I saw her last year, I've thought she's an exciting player to watch. The Wildcats are benefit from her growth this season, for sure.

The argument that NW is actually pretty good, so this loss isn't pretty bad, leaves me skeptical. NW lost a set to earlier in the month to two teams with pablo rankings in the 240's. It took a set off Washington, but lost two of the other three by scores of -12 and -14. Against Illinois and Wisconsin recently, it lost all six sets and scored over 20 in only 2 of them. It has a nice win against Pepperdine--which is more than Minn can say. But that's it for the ol' resume. Until NW got to play Minnesota. Its current pablo rank is 35. When has Minn last lost at home to a team ranked that low? That was a bad showing by the Gophers and a worrisome one, too. There's no way to sugar coat it.

I liken Northwestern this year to a Michigan type team. When they're on, watch out, they have the potential to take down a top team. BUT, they're inconsistent.
Maybe even MN could be talked of that way this year.
I'm not sure when the last time MN lost at home to a team ranked that low. MN is ripe for the picking right now and all fringe teams are going to try to capitalize on it. It's a bit worrisome. They need to right the ship, soon.

I really have no idea what the heck to expect It just means that they're not a great team. Minn, Wisc, NW ... probably all belong somewhere in the #15-25 range. Good ... not great.
The problem with that is that someone has to be in the 3-14 range, and egg laying has become a popular occupation for ranked teams this season.
