I typed paper and it was autocorrected to player. Sometimes I catch it. Sometimes I don’t. Pretend I did on this one, lol.

I post a bunch from my phone. Sometimes I catch the mistakes. Sometimes I don’t. Editing is not a lot of fun on a mobile device on this site, tbh.

Aubrey Hamilton played for Notre Dame in last year's early season match at Gregory:
Box score says that the attendance was 3,195.
Attendance for the two matches so far this year: FDU - 4,172 Georgia - 4,812
I hope we rock it louder than she remembers it!

yeah no way we were as loud during that ND game. Notre Dame came stumbling in and wasn't considered a big game at all. The coach was fired after a horrific season. The crowd was amazing for Stanford, which is when we brought in all our big name recruits. Everyone who attended that game ended up signing with Texas. But the Notre Dame and Arizona matches weren't that impressive from a noise/intensity perspective. I will say there were a lot of doubters on volleytalk after Notre Dame took a set from Texas that match. I don't know how wrong they were given the finish to the season, but I remember that dynamic on here distinctly. Especially in regards to the VT top 25 poll and where Texas belonged on it.

I'm going to try and be loud tomorrow, but . . . y'all. .. I'm only now getting my voice back after the Georgia match and there's hopefully Saturday to go. . . Pace yourself. I know the players have to take it one match at a time, but the blunt truth is Marquette doesn't match up well. They don't block all that well. They don't pass that great. Their floor defense is okay, but not amazing. Their serving isn't anything to write home about. What they have is an amazing setter (better than SKT, and I don't say that lightly - one of the only setters in the country I'd take over SKT) incredibly balanced scoring, a really good 6 rotation left pin in Hamilton, but they're not some kind of super team. They're about the same level as Baylor, better than Iowa State and KU. They do have a coach who is some kind of rock star with his challenges, and he has a great pulse for his team. If Texas makes it past Marquette - and they should - the winner of the other match in Gregory will be on a whole 'nother level than Marquette. So my advice is save your voice as much as possible.

I would be more confident about tomorrow's game if it weren't for the fact the last time I saw Texas get out of Regionals (in person) was 2016. So far back that I had to use wikipedia to remind me it was a 3-0 over Creighton to get there. And then wikipedia reminds me that the game before that was the marathon 3-2 over BYU. Creighton match, don't remember it. BYU, memory of massive screaming at the court.
