Tbh doesn't need crazy money to grow the sport, just do basic social media remotely properly These days, good IG followers = good sponsors = $$$ I think money is there for INDIVIDUALS if they can master the social media game, but the tour itself is not gonna thrive or die based on The Gram. They need eyes watching online and on TV...A LOT, and then sponsors will come.

Tbh doesn't need crazy money to grow the sport, just do basic social media remotely properly These days, good IG followers = good sponsors = $$$ I agree to an extent, fringe or lower level players that will not regularly finish top 3 in events but have personality and highlights - need to work harder to grow their social pages. They need to post EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. and be ready for when they eventually go viral and have a backlog of content for someone who got brought to their page and is now dead scrolling their timeline. Where the money needs to come is to the AVP itself, they need to completely revamp how they market their product, and then their commodities. The "crazy money" means nothing unless you hire a whole new group of people and replace whatever incompetent fools are currently in charge of their marketing and social media. Increasing payouts only helps the top of the totem, but increasing the investment in the product and how you get it to attract new uniques is where you will get the return not only for the organization, but for the entire roster of athletes competing as long as they put in their own social work. The simple fact that watching these events is harder than it has been in years, I believe is going to show that all viewer numbers at the end of this season will be all time lows. The top players that want larger payouts want them because it would benefit them right now, but what happens when they suck and lose a step? Everyone currently competing needs to understand they are working for themselves and the future of the sport rather than the sport drastically improving immediately.

The AVP's hiring process should start with a checklist:
1) Have you worked for the AVP in the last 20 years, in any iteration or incarnation before, 2) Are you friends with any current or former players or decision makers on the AVP 3) Is your name Chris Marlowe
If the answer to either of the first two questions is yes and the answer to the third is no, the application should go in the trash.
New ideas are necessary, recycling the same people, hiring husbands, wives and BFFs in key positions, and keeping people on because they are well-liked needs to end. New blood needs to come in and examine every part of the AVP's operations and ask "Why do we do that?" then follow up with "could we do it better"

Hard to look at things honestly when you know someone within the AVP or had previously worked there.
