I believe the Italian website only uses errors to calculate efficiency, I included blocked. I hope Gabi can improve on those numbers over the second half of the season Italian efficiency does not take blocks into account, only errors. Polish attack efficiency is along the same lines as hitting percentage in the United States. Jake Hanes is in Poland and has the following stats: 130 kills, 3.25 kills per set, 44.83 attack percentage, 27.24 attack efficiency, 12 blocks, 0.30 blocks per set, 18 aces, 0.40 aces per set All three of these American opposites are on some of the worst teams in their respective leagues. Do you think playing in a different league would be good for Gabi? |

So a little update in Japan.
Both Aaron Russell and Thomas Jaeschke are leading their teams on a successful season and both playing at an extremely high and consistent level.
Jaeschke's Panasonic team remains in 1st place at 18-1 and Thomas is leading the league in attack percentage at .566 ,(Russell is 3rd in league with .554)
Panasonic beat Toray Arrows 3-1 Sat and Thomas led the team with 14 kills (3errors) .424 1 block and 3 aces.
Aaron Russell's JT Hiroshima team slipped out of 3rd place into 4th with two 2-3 losses to Suntory last weekend but rebounded with a herculean effort over JTEK 3-1 today.
Russell was on fire 27/35/1 error for a .770 clip 👀🚨 along with 1 block and 1 ace
For the season Russell and Jaeschke are 4th and 9th leading scorers in the league so far.
Looking fantastic for Paris for this USA duo.

USA Men are best in the world? At what? The men have finished top 3 at Worlds once and the Olympics twice in this century. Nowhere near the storied programs of Brazil, Russia, Italy, and Poland. Solidly a top 8 program, not a top tier. Humble apologies, amongst the best. Crisis averted. Only ranked #3 in the world, what a sh$& show. Well well well, looks like you and I were correct, eh?
