they all are lol. The Turkish volleyball fan base is the worst fan base Iāve ever seen. They make social media Nebraska fans look like nothing I think youāre one of the last people to talk about being a worst fan. But anywayyyy š

Weāre talking about the same thing. Iām not saying Vargas isnāt a change maker, she would be in any team. I love her, sheās great. She was the star that Turkiye needed. Like Boskovic, Egonu etc Well then why aren't we talking about how great Zehra's hair has looked with this lighter shade?!?! She looks amazing and i want her to be a couple with Vargas sooo much. Here i am being delusional again š

And Serbia literally tried to buy Vargas š that isnāt true. Again. Turks throw that argument out time and time again. Itās so old at this point, the dissolution of Yugoslavia and its complicated history and ethnic Serbians scattered through out it is different than a Cuban who doesnāt speak Turkish (or English as far as Iām aware) is not a equal comparison. Tijana is an ethnic Serbian born in the Republika Srpska in Bosnia and Herzegovina and was born with Serbian citizenship. You can keep trying to throw out that narrative as a false equivalency like Turkish fans do if it makes you feel better that you bought a player from a country thousand of miles away to save your mediocre team. But just stop spreading lies. Itās not true

this just turning into an argument on the ethnicities of every player like calm down.
if turkey loses, brazilian volleyball twitter will torment them endlessly, strengthening the feud that will be highlighted in a stunning brazil-tĆ¼rkiye quarterfinal in paris. so i guess iāll root for serbia?
iāll be happy for vargas, gizem, and eda and KARAKOOT kinda if tĆ¼rkiye wins.

Because i honestly donāt know, is Dajana full blood to Tijana? How is her story different? they were both born in the Republika Srpska in Bosnia and Herzegovina and our ethnic Serbians. Most Serbians that live in BH live in that area and they have dual citizenship. Basically they had a choice to play for either team because they are ethnic Serbians living in Bosnian borders when they were born. If they played different positions Iām sure they would both represent Serbia. Dajana just wasnāt good enough and chose to represent BH. For either of them nothing shady happened. I think Dajana just saw her chances better playing under the Bosnian flag and had that option available to her

I think Dajana just saw her chances better playing under the Bosnian flag This was my assumption (and makes sense) yea. Thereās a lot of gray area especially because just 3 years before Dajana was born it was obviously all one country. So thereās a lot of ethnic Serbians living all through the former Yugoslavia and same with other closely related ethnic groups like Croats and stuff. No matter the case itās completely different than what turkey and Vargas are lmfao. Last time I checked Cuba has never been part of Turkey but we havenāt quite gotten there in my survey of European history class so maybe I just havenāt learned about it yet !

Iām just done with Turkiye bought Vargas thing. Itās been happening in every sport for so long including volleyball and will keep happening. Especially for players like Vargas, who was looking for a country to play for anyway, because her own country literally banned her. Sheās been talked a lot more than recently Italy Antropova move. because of course sheās one of the best opposites out there. I guess iād be jealous as well if i didnāt like Turkiye but it happens and people need to move on.
