Wisconsin going to 5 against 2 SEC teams... SEC is deep I fear. . . I love that other conferences are stepping up. Nobody wants to hear Emily blab all day about the same 3-4 teams lol.

Lol, if you think TN is a team good enough to take a fully-functioning Wisconsin to 5 in the Field House after being down 2-0 then go ahead. What exactly do you think sports is? Teams have to show tf up if they want to win. Good teams take advantage of teams playing badly. Are you still commiserating over Wisco not being “fully functioning” for the last three sets against Stanford in 2016? What a bizarre comment. Lmao, trying to equate this TN team and that Stanford team is wild. That Stanford team had more talent than Wisconsin, but most of them were just freshmen so their play are understandbly up and down. This TN team is not close to Wisconsin's talent level.

At least we have two unranked teams next week before we have to face Marquette and Florida.

They have three good pins. A good and adventurous setter with attitude. Big middles. Tough floor defense, good passing and really tough serving. Plus, they have Fingall. Idk, I just watched a discombobulated Wisconsin still managed to beat them in 5. A fully functioning version of Wisconsin should sweep them, especially since the game was at the Field House.

Lucky. That's not going to take them very far. I've resisted saying Sheff is stubborn to a fault, but I'm changing sides on that one. He doesn't know what to do with what he's got and doesn't seem to be able to work around what he doesn't have. With GG and our setting tandem we won't make it past the Elight Eight again this season. How much longer before Sheffield benches GG and gives Boyer and or Dammrow a look?

I'm afraid this might be as good as we get if GG is passing.

People freaking out on here. Sheffield's job isn't finding the team that will win every match. It's to find the best combo for the end of the year. And they still won the match.
I'm still unsure about the right lineup. But I think it will get solidified before the B1G season starts. How to fit TTA so that she actually has chances in a match is hard to figure out.

How much longer before Sheffield cuts bait with GG and gives Boyer and or Dammrow a look? ...Our setting tandem isn't the problem...In fact, they have been much improved this year. Our offense on a good pass is destructive. Of course, the big words in there are "on a good pass".

You are just not giving them enough credit. On the day they played really well - except for all those HEs in the beginning of the match. When they cleaned that up and really got to exploiting the badger seams, and playing insanely well on defense, they made it hard to keep ahead of points.

Some choices there at the end did not seem informed by the block on the other side of the next, but other than that they have gotten much better at turning bad passes into decent opportunities.

Gotta pass to make anything else matter even a little bit at all. Wisconsin does poorly in serve receive but somehow the people serving the balls are bad at volleyball. 🙄
