I was a fan of the Wisconsin program before that post. I was even happy to overlook how they celebrated at times and the post game interview cuz I get adrenaline pumping in the heat of the moment. Anyway, thanks for the bulletin board material. Cheers to a second meet up in December. Give me a break. Absolutely nothing inflammatory about Devyns post. Y'all making a mountain out of a mole hill. Florida has a great team and suffered a big loss at the setter position. Did Devyn dox anyone? Did she target any players by name in a harassing nature? Did Stucky have a profession ending injury? Did something happen where the game has to stand still and have everyone refrain from discussing opponent unless it checks in with sensitive fans and get there go-ahead? Like cmon already this Badger hate is definitely Badger Derangement Syndrome. Like I said...haters gonna hate. Gotta look for a reason and draw from a 20 year old's post something that wasn't there. |

This is one of the least cringey things that someone affiliated with Wisconsin has ever done. And if someone has to explain the nuances of their outrage, they’re probably over-thinking it. I'm hardly outraged. It's not a big deal. But if she wants to post something on social media aka obviously intending for people to see it and to elicit responses, people can have an opinion on it. I found it to be cringe, given the circumstances. Nothing more, nothing less. Doesn't make her a bad person or mean that Wisconsin is celebrating Stucky's injury. No need for people to be overly dramatic acting like she did some horrible thing. |

Once again its a response to Florida's original post If the original troll had not occurred then this 'cringey' post doesn't even happen. I see a confident young women who is responding to a troll. Oh brother. I hate it when people set a tone, then tone police the response in the very same tone. If the gators want that tone of trash talking, so be it. It makes the matchup spicey, as Stefon might say.
And frankly it's not showing respect of the rest of the gator players to treat them like they were a bunch of invalids without agency just because one player went down, no matter how important. It would be disrespectful to Muff who really put herself out there when called upon. I'm deeply sorry that Stucky was hurt, it's not good for volleyball to lose it's best players. I know the fans hurt because I've been there with Carlini. But there is still a team of gators that deserve to be treated like a win over them has some value.
The badgers are a team looking for some cohesion, celebrating a win against a solid opponent, in the tone set by the opponent.

But I don’t think there was anything wrong with what Robinson posted, although I don’t think it was completely necessary to include the og post from Florida. Is it petty? Yes. Is it the most classy thing to do? No. But these are 18-22 year old girls, they’re allowed to be petty and competitive!

Aleck was in histrionics on court. Devyn was not. Devyn was responding to a post made last year that was pretty trashy (FL). Aleck was not. False equivalencies and the inability to discern fact from fiction are a disease and you're afflicted. |
