Lilly Wachholtz may not play in this match. She hurt her right leg in their last match. Had to be helped off the floor, could not put any pressure on that leg. Also, Iowa St. may be using their backup Libero. Their starting Libero has not played in the last 3 matches. She was not even wearing her uniform in their last match.

The Wahine need to track Maya Duckworth, she is Iowa State's main hitter. She is almost BVS like.

Watching Iowa St. play against Cincinnati, wondering how they got into the NCAA Tournament, but LBSU did not. LBSU looks so much better then Iowa St.

Paula Krzeslak was the starting Libero in IA-State's last few matches.. didn't know she's their backup. (She's played in lots of their matches, so she's been DS if she's the backup LIB.) Real bummer if Lilly Wachholtz is out for the tournament. I did see that she only played in the first set of their last match, but I don't usually try and dig deeper, since there is often no difference between " having a bad night, so got subbed out" and " got injured, so got subbed out" in what I can find.

Kendra Ham is one of my favorite players to root for, but did she turn the corner last weekend at the BW Tournament, or was it an anomaly from playing these opponents for a third time this season? Prior to last weekend, the only time she hit over .100 against a "quality" non-conference team or top four BW team (Poly, Beach, UCSB) was against Poly on November 3. Right side production really makes a difference for the Wahine.

Lily rolled her ankle at the end of the first set in our match against Cincy. Brooke only missed the game against Cincy. Brooke pulled a muscle in her thigh in the first set against UCF on 11/22. I truly believe they just kept her out as a precaution. I think she will be back, if not Paula will do just fine. Lily on the other hand, I don't think will but Annie Hatch will be ready. Please don't use the Cincy game as a gauge. They only had 2 days to prep without Brooke and were leading just fine when Lily went down and I think that threw them off. They have been playing better as of late. Took a set off of Texas, swept Houston and went to 2 five setters with KU.

WahineFan is going to use whatever game she wants to keep her ever-changing agenda(s) going. The sane Hawaii fans know ISU is not to be messed with.

Wags and her performance will be key for this match as they will need her offense to offset the power of the Cyclone pins. If Hawaii is passing well and Kate can help create some space for Wags, she could be devastating. Wags is the tip queen, but no one can deny that her swings have serious pop.

This should be a fun one! Wish we didn't have to watch it on Oregon's court though... it makes me dizzy

I noticed that as long as Kate/Amber can drive away one blocker away from Wags, that is when she is most effective. She needs to make smarter shots though if there’s two blockers up because it’s a 50/50 chance (being generous) that her tips will drop as a point. Amber needs to keep on being Amber… Caylen and Hams needs to show up. If two ladies are off of their game, we could have a problem but if the play like they were playing Beach, we should have a good chance.
