The "easy" way out is: if you have a Y chromosome (or multiple), you're disqualified from women's athletics.
It could be one day--but for now who is going to fund all this genetic testing for competitions that don't pay out prize money anyway? It's the common reason why amateur athletics have the rules that they have. Is every woman going to have to carry a "chromosome" card that they need to enter their local recreational athletics competition? (Yes, that's some of the things being complained about) It's a cost issue, and (right now) a privacy violation/health issue.

Hence why "easy" in quotations. There are no truly easy answers here. Probably not the best word. Maybe "simplest" would have been better.

Has anyone ever interviewed Keegan Cook on this situation? He was in charge of Washington VB at the time any “offer” was made, and I would appreciate his view on if he thought this was a direction he was taking his recruiting, whether it’s an approach he’ll be bringing to Minnesota? Seems like a logical journalistic step.

Maybe them feeling a little misled was the reason the offer was pulled more so than the situation itself?

Glad to see NAIA create policy for this and athletes like Riley Gaines who had the courage to step up and voice her opinion. I know there are some people on here that do not agree with NAIA or Riley Gaines and that is okay. Everyone has a right to voice their opinion. Somewhere along the way a lot of society has forgotten how to coexist with people who have different opinions.

Breitbart News did receive an email from the student’s mother…who confirmed that “Tate will not be playing volleyball for the University of Washington.” Not really the pinnacle of journalistic integrity.

That the coaches were not aware until the “article” came out.

Not really the pinnacle of journalistic integrity. Name one publication that is these days. AP, Reuters, and NPR are generally considered the most credible and unbiased news sources.

Not my opinion, polling in 2023 of American households. Obviously you’re going to fall off your chair at this list. Luckily you can land softly on your “my pillow”.
