It's exciting to have a highly-anticipated match again. It's been too long for us!

Biggest test so far this year with most pressure for the team to handle! Hate to be a little negative but this is my two cents and a sincere hope that Safi can handle the serve receive pressure as she has been targeted 43% of time and have over 60% of all recorded team receive errors. This error rate does not apparently take in the OOS receptions causing scramble plays or outside release sets. Also I hope she takes the advice to chip the outside of the block as her hitting percentage is the least among our starters with several negative averages for matches.

Great win for the Heels! I’m sure there was a huge lift of the pressure off their shoulders to get that win. Hopefully they can follow it up with another one on Sunday. Just keep winning the games you are supposed to win and then sneak a couple of the other 50/50 games and they are in good shape.

Hoping we can sweep the weekend and avoid an emotional let down.

Not looking great today. Sluggish, not very sharp.

Third match in a row we’ll go to a fifth. We look exhausted. Their OH Flormarie Heredia Colon is just destroying us. She has 26 kills going into the fifth.
And now 27…

What a gutsy win by the Heels! Heels win the fifth 15-8. Mabrey finishes with a season-high 25 kills (.333). Our defense was flying around in the fifth set. Proud of this team for finding the energy to do it. Both us and Miami were just gassed.
Heels are 17-2 and 9-1 in the ACC! Hope this team can get some time to rest before hosting Clemson and GT next weekend.
Glad these games were at home this year - ha!
Mad props to FHC for Miami - she is awesome. She set a new career-high in kills with 28 and hit like .431. Unreal. Thorpe had 15 kills (.211), Safi with 14 (.118), and Foster with 9 (.115). They killed us at the net - 17 blocks to our 7.

I wish UNC would get the Taraflex flooring. It is pathetic that mid-major teams in the Sunbelt have it and we don’t.

I wish UNC would get the Taraflex flooring. It is pathetic that mid-major teams in the Sunbelt have it and we don’t. Preach. Carolina blue would look awesome. I don’t think we’ll host this year obviously with our back half schedule being a gauntlet. But starting this year you can’t host if you don’t have it. So someone will have to invest in it at some point in the near future in the event we get back into the Top 16 regularly (Still a long way to go for that, but just saying and being hopeful).
