Good bounce back effort against Cal. We were punched in the first set but gained momentum near the end that carried over.
All of our losses have been to RPI 50 and up. That’s not bad for a program looking to rebuild. Would love to get a ranked win over Stanford to add to the resume. But, hopefully, we continue to beat those we should and then avenge our NCSU loss and get into the tourney.

Why are we playing UVA and Clemson twice instead of State?
We have Stanford, home against UVA and away against Clemson left.

Duke’s the travel partner and Clemson/Virginia are in our tiered group. Sounds like UNC will remain in the 3rd tier. Duke doesn’t have to be our travel partner though, it was NC State until a few years ago. But idk who of Duke and NCSU has more upside going forward.

Not a good result Sunday against Stanford....I get so frustrated because this team can hang with the top dogs for a set but cant sustain it. Lost to Pitt in the second set after being up 21-19 and lose to Stanford being up 21-19 as well in the 3rd. Talent is there just not top tier yet.
But to keep things in persepective I am sure no one had this team on year 2 of a rebuild as #27 in RPI, 5th in the ACC, after finishing 13-14 last year overall.
Big jump this year. Hoping we finish strong against Clemson, Virgnia, and win a tournament game. Then hit the portal and off season.

Give me the defense that played in the third set against Stanford in every single set. That's what's so tough is they'll show you they can play with that intensity, but don't always do it. We have to learn how to treat every set like it's against Stanford.
