UNC is a huge place with quite a bit of diverse populations Definitely something that isn't true about *checks notes* . . . Cincinnati. Cincinnati is also very close to home for her.

Wow. this is not an upgrade over UNC at all. However, she was homesick AND she wants to play as an outside. Cincy will take all the talent they can get.

Not an upgrade or a downgrade. Maybe all being equal - she just wants to be closer to home.

Might not be an upgrade, but it's not a downgrade either. Both schools very similar on court in last few years. Conferences are very close if not better from top to bottom in Big 12.

I think the coaching staff knew mid-season that she was homesick and would likely want to be closer to home as soon as she could be. UNC is a huge place with quite a bit of diverse populations, and can be overwhelming for young people if they are not used to it. Sometimes kids just want to be closer to home so they can see their families more regularly. Do you even comprehend how cultish condescending this sounds?! No place is like UNC, right? Utter nonsense. You should travel a bit you know. While I love living here and love our school, it is not for everyone and I am the first one to say that our community could be difficult in accepting people. And we are really quick to judge people after they say no to us. I happen to travel to Cincinnati a lot and can tell you that the diversity is way richer than here. But you go on about how special we are. This is exactly why I think players that came from afar leave us. We just think we are so special that we don’t welcome them, but we expect them to just adapt to us. Consider also that we lost THREE starters and THREE All ACC Freshmen. They all went closer to home. Have you asked yourself that maybe they didn’t think that our VB program was worth being away from family? I’m pretty sure that’s exactly what Nolan was thinking:If VB sucks I can do that at Cinci and be closer to family. Maybe she was bored in our little town too. I hope that you open your mind to the possibility that we are doing something wrong if this keeps happening to us. Doing the same thing for years now and expecting a different outcome is……

Was really thinking we would hear more formal commits at this point.
I know that Arcia Davis is down to us and HPU I believe.
I do wonder if the UNC Grad School process is slowing it down some.

Ouch? You are aware of how good HPU has been for quite a while.... I think losing out to a Big South school for a recruit would be bad.

I do see that she is no longer following Carolina volleyball on Instagram. she is following high point which makes me wonder if she has made her decision.

It hurts if you can get out of the mentality that “another program is good lately and therefore it’s ok for a player to go there instead of here”. Maybe we should try demanding more from our program and then players will come here…. Sigh Something is obviously not working right with the program and these coaches if HPU beats us to players.
