Mackenzie Morris has unfollowed SMU and DePaul volleyball. She now only follows UNC. Thought I’d add it here before it gets lost in the tea thread MASSIVE get. |

Now the real question is does Schall hand the keys over to Behrendt or will the Tar Heels find someone in the portal

He’s got to at least get a backup. But we did finally start doing better running a 6-2 late last year. With Thorpe and possibly Yardimci, we may run a 6-2 again.

Engelbrecht is signed and official. Just has not announced.
Morris is not official. UNC is her top choice but another school had come into play as mentioned in another thread. I still think we are the favorite landing spot based on intel.
Rumor is Yardimici is headed to UNC just waiting on some academic/personal clearance.
Coaches do want another setter to be backup. Zoe is running the show unless a setter comes in to dethrone her.
Right moves so far in the off season.

Zoe is running the show unless a setter comes in to dethrone her. Right moves so far in the off season. FWIW I heard one of the top two remaining 2024 setters was on the “east Coast” this week. I initially thought it could be UNC but based on this intel my guess is no. |

It looks like UNC is showing some interest in Reilly Heinrich (Grad transfer L/DS) as well

Morris chose Oregon. Not really a surprise. She is really good and could perform well on a top 25 team.
Seems like back to the drawing board.

Bummer. Good for her. Hopefully we'll land someone else to elevate the back row play. Any update on Maple? I saw @texasfight mention Reilly Heinrich from Texas, but she didn't see much court time at Texas during their natty runs, so I don't know much about her.

Heinrich no longer follows UNC or Schall on insta. I know she was following both when I made that comment so I’m not sure what happened there. Edit: Taylor Eisert (S, Middle Tennessee) seems to be a potential pick up for the Tar Heels. |

Yea the last I checked she hasn’t followed anybody but us. Not a bad pickup to bring in a Conference Setter of the Year. Hope that comes to fruition.
