I'd probably put Mia in 3, shaff in 4, Haworth 5.

I would put very little stock in what a back-up setter from MSU has to say. I don't understand the need to school or position shame. It's an opinion and its ok to disagree and its ok to have your own list and explain why. At least she played the sport unlike the NCAA's top talking head.

So true. Let me rephrase. I’ve not been impressed with the young analysts that the B1G has hired. I know everyone is trying their best. Clearly, it takes time to accurately evaluate players from 18 different teams.

I’m more like “WTF” re: Batenhorst. Multiple players had much better stats than her.

I’m more like “WTF” re: Batenhorst. Multiple players had much better stats than her. I'm guessing it's the level of competition. bruinsgold didn't even include her on the nominations list Edit: but I guess then that doesn't explain Starck's selection

Looks like it's the Penn State interns turn to run the B1G offices this year.

LOL Batenhorst had 3.7 kills per set. She hit .341 over the weekend, sure, but there were better players last week.
Hudson and Hanson both had over 1.0 kills per set more and hit for a higher efficiency. And if you're going to give it to a player with less than 4 kps, at least recognize Beason for what she did.
Whatever. It's really starting to reek of "we just want everyone to get a trophy"

And when has that ever stopped them from honoring players before?? From any conference? If they're doing it based solely on who has great stats against the top competition, this would be a different story. But they're not and you know it.
