LMU took the first set 25-21 over Santa Clara. LMU runs a 6-2, and SCU typically does as well. Today, SCU seems to have only one Opp available, and they are subbing their setters, letting each of them play 6 rotations... maybe getting the freshman ready for next year?
Stats stopped working halfway through the first set. LMU is much better at serve receive, setting location and really good setter/hitter connections, as well as digging. SCU is winning the blocking battle, but need some help on defense.

San Diego subbed Ella Durham in for the injured Osunsanmi, but they are setting her very sparingly. Still, they came from behind after the injury, and are leading the second set 20-17
San Diego wins 25-17 to tie the match at 1-1.  San Diego had 6 blocks in the second set.  Nice adjustments.

Saint Mary's pulled out a very close first set 25-23 over Pacific.

Washington State took the first set 25-19 over Portland.

She landed only on her left leg, and looked like she rolled the ankle completely over.  Sometimes players look like they did something drastic, and they pop back into the match later.  But, unfortunately, I think she sprained it pretty well.  She was leading the team at the time, but the rest of the team picked up the pace in her absence.
Pepperdine match is in 11 days.  Hope she is a quick healer!

LMU went on a tear after an 11-9 lead over SCU. Broncos in all kinds of serve receive trouble. Currently 23-16, with LMU leading 1-0.
LMU takes it 25-18 to go up 2-0

San Diego and OSU have been in a very tight third set. Currently 16-14 San Diego...21-18

Saint Mary's dominated the second set over Pacific, finishing 25-20 to go up 2-0

Washington State is up 22-13 over Portland in the second set...and they take it 25-13 to go up 2-0

Pepperdine vs San Francisco is starting (2pm)

I left for half an hour and find that LMU and SCU are tied at 28 in the third!

And LMU pulled it out 30-28 to sweep Santa Clara.  That was wild.
Flickinger was 14-0-27 (.519) for LMU.  Toland also had 8 kills, 0 errors at .570.

San Diego won 3-1 over OSU, 22-25, 25-17, 25-20, 25-22.  Nemo Beach had a match high 14 kills at .308.  Clark had 11 kills at .200 and Stoner had 10 kills at .444.  San Diego had 14 blocks to OSU's 6.  OSU was led by Rumel's 13 kills at .270
The bigger story was Osunsanmi leaving early in the second set after rolling her left ankle on a block.

Washington State swept Portland -19, -13, -23

Saint Mary's is working their way to a 4-set win over Pacific.  They lead 17-10 in the fourth set....and easily win in 4.

Pepperdine narrowly took the first set 25-23 over San Francisco.

Perfect.  Thank you.  Early in the season it looked like there was no chance to have more than the AQ in the tournament, but all three teams have been rising lately. It would be great to get three in again.
