Anyone wanna throw in some names for: POY DPOY SOY FOY I know it's too early and lots of volleyball to be played.. I feel like Kami Miner has SOY locked up, though I think Fairbanks would be in close consideration. She could be POY as well. FOY, Nayelis Cabello, Ryla Jones, and Ipar Kurt seem like the most likely candidates to me but all three of them have question marks on that front - if Cabello were running the Louisville offense on her own, she'd be an easy pick for me, but it isn't that simple. Breonna Gross for Duke could be in there. For DPOY, it should be Scott. She has the most weekly awards of anyone right now - defensive or otherwise. Plus, she's Elena Scott. POY, Babcock or Stafford. It's pretty simple. I figure they'll give the edge to Babcock, and Stafford doesn't have any weekly awards yet, but they're both just unbelievable athletes to me. If I had to guess right now, I'd say: POY: Babcock DPOY: Scott SOY: Miner FOY: Cabello If it's not them, I'd guess POY is Fairbanks or Stafford, DPOY is Haggerty or Okammor, SOY is Fairbanks or Cullen, and FOY is Jones or Gross. At least 4 from Pitt deserve an award. Gonna be tough

unpopular opinion but Haggerty as of today would absolutely deserve DPOY I’m such a huge fan. She’s just so good, and her game doesn’t diminish much against top opponents. I don’t think the committee will go for it but

SOY far from locked up. Fairbanks or Miner for sure. Miner with .04 more assists/set and Pitt hitting .009 better than Stanford. About as close as it gets!

Statistics wise, yes, but Miner is the best setter in the country right now in terms of location and hands. She doesn’t have the weapons Fairbanks does. I also don’t think they’ll give more than two awards to Pitt, and they should be in heavy consideration for POY and FOY. Based on name alone, it would go to Miner, and she’s been beyond stellar

Anyone wanna throw in some names for: POY DPOY SOY FOY I know it's too early and lots of volleyball to be played.. POY - Stafford, simply cause her hitting %age is insane for an outside. DPOY - Going to be Scott, probably should be Haggerty. I like to reward people who do rare things, and if Haggerty's blocking rate holds up, it's the first two someone will have averaged 2 blocks a set in like 10 years. SOY - Fairbanks, Pitt's offense 0.050 better than Stanford at the moment. That's a pretty huge gap. FOY - Ariana Rodriguez at Miami? Ipar Kurt at Stanford? Goss at Duke? This seems all over the place at the moment.

I don’t have a direct answer for any of these categories but i’ll put in the biggest contenders
POY: Stafford / Babcock
SOY: Celia Cullen / Fairbanks
DPOY: Elena scott (this is a lock and not arguable imo)
FOY: Ipar Kurt / Ryla Jones / Nayelis Cabello (this one is tough i think there will be CO-FOY this season
I personally don’t know about Ryla jones becuase if pitt was not undefeated, well not anymore, but with the win streak they have going on this season, will she be in that conversation as strong as she is in it right now ? Just my opinion i think she’s great

Is the Boston College Haggerty related to the Haggerty sisters from Illinois?

Okay I’ll bite:
POY: Babcock and Stafford (I truly can’t separate them and think it would be so cool to see two pins from the same school share the award.) DPOY: Scott (there really should be a separate category for liberos tbh, because Haggerty really deserves recognition too) SOY: Fairbanks FOY: Kurt, Jones, or Cabello (If Cabello wasn’t in a 6-2 it would be hers for sure I think. But then again she’s been winning weekly ACC FOW so it’s still possible).

I’m going to take a shot at the All-ACC team. Last year it was 14 on first and 14 on second but I wonder if they will expand to compensate for the size increase. Partially based on name recognition/past teams because I believe that’s how coaches vote. Asterisks for locks.
First Team: Audrey Koenig, OH, FSU Khori Louis, MB, FSU* Bianca Bertolino, OH, GA Tech Olivia Babcock, OPP, Pitt*, POY Rachel Fairbanks, S, Pitt* Torrey Stafford, OH, Pitt* Cara Cresse, MB, L’Ville (Most hesitant about this, but think there will be two MBs here. Kelley, Foster, Francis, or Haggerty could all replace) Anna DeBeer, OH, L’ville* Charitie Luper, OH, L’ville* Elena Scott, L, L’Ville*, DPOY Mabrey Shaffmaster, OH, UNC Celia Cullen, S, SMU* Kami Miner, S, Stanford*, SOY Elia Rubin, OH, Stanford*
Second Team:
Julia Haggerty, MB, Boston College Maggie Li, OH, Cal Tamara Otene, OH, GA Tech Flormarie Heredia Colon, OH, Miami Grace Lopez, OPP, Miami Bre Kelley, MB, Pitt Emmy Klika, L, Pitt Valeria Vasquez Gomes, OH, Pitt Natalie Foster, MB, SMU Naya Shime, OPP, SMU Maya Tabron, OH, SMU Sami Francis, MB, Stanford Elena Oglivie, L, Stanford Milan Gomillion, UVA
Don’t think a frost will make it onto the teams but my money would be on Kurt unless Fairbanks starts setting Jones more. So much talent in this conference, apologies if I missed one of your faves.
