ACC Players of the WeekOffensive: Grace Lopez, SO, OPP, Miami Defensive: Julia Haggerty, SR, MB, Boston College Co-Setter: Celia Cullen, GR, SMU Co-Setter: Ariana Rodriguez, RS FR, Miami Freshman: Nayelis Cabello, s, Louisville I'm confused. Co-setter of the week is a freshman. Freshman of the week is a setter. They are different people. spreading the awards out. getting more players recognized.

Overall, ACC is doing well this season. Four teams in the AVCA top 10 and a few more in the top 25. There will be a lot of personnel losses next year, but that's not unique to the ACC.
Pitt loses Klika, Fairbanks, and VVG. Babcock, Stafford, Kelley, and Jones being back means Pitt should remain a top 5 team easily as long as libero and setter replacements are decent. Bayless would slot in for VVG.
Louisville loses Debeer, Luper, Scott, SMD, and PK. The outsides and Scott are huge losses. Seems like a good number of outsides currently on the roster and incoming recruits will battle to fill the hole left by Debeer and Luper. Sherman has been battling with PK for the 2nd MB spot so no real loss at middle.
Stanford loses Miner, Oglivie, and Francis. Yu/Parks would replace Miner. Libero is a big question mark. One of their incoming freshman will have to play middle blocker.
SMU loses their entire starting lineup... Literally, Bolton/Frazier at (L), Cullen (S), Shime (OPP), Tabron/Wheeler (OH), Nnedi/Foster (MB). Only other teams I can think of that lose nearly this much are Creighton, Wisconsin, Kansas, and ASU.

I will mention that, for Louisville, *technically* PK does have another year of eligibility available to her, but I'm getting the impression that she's not inclined to use it. Doesn't substantively change your analysis at all, but in the interest of "correctness".

Everyone with 10 league wins at the moment, plus Miami IMO, have to be in prime positions for making the tournament.
Virginia on the bubble as a 9th team. NC State probably did themselves by not getting a win this past weekend. So much work to do.

Ryla Jones, Naomis Cabello, Ipar Kurt, Breanna Goss.
Idk who else. Maybe Logan Wiley if she remains starter. Very few of the top squads have freshman starters.

All freshman team prediction? I've made a team including redshirts and one without. I've been keeping track of how the freshmen have been performing all season and this is kind of who stands out to me. The ACC has traditionally not put redshirts on the team and who knows if the coaches will continue to do so. The people in bold are locks imo just based off their stats this season. The pool of freshman OHs are very thin this season while the middles are quite competitive. There's still a lot of games left so things could definitely change, especially with the middles. 2024 ALL-ACC Freshman Team (with Redshirts)Mailinh Godschall, Duke, L Ipar Kurt, Stanford, OH Belle Patrick, Virginia Tech, OHMorgan Gaerte, Notre Dame, OH (currently injured)Taylor Williams, Duke, OH (could also put a third middle here)Ariana Rodriguez, Miami, S Nayelis Cabello, Louisville, S Lizzy Andrew, Stanford, MB OR Breonna Goss, Duke, MB OR Logan Wiley, Georgia Tech, MB Ryla Jones, Pitt, MB2024 All-ACC Freshman Team (without redshirts)Mailinh Godschall, Duke, L Morgan Gaerte, Notre Dame, OH Belle Patrick, Virginia Tech, OH Taylor Williams, Duke, OH Logan Wiley, MB, Georgia Tech OR Jackie Taylor, MB, UNC Nayelis Cabello, Louisville, S Breonna Goss, Duke, MB Lizzy Andrew, Stanford, MB Ryla Jones, Pitt, MBStill has a chance but didn't mention because stats are a bit low currently: Neea-Maria Joki, Clemson, OH Anna Bjork, Notre Dame, MB
