I’m going to take a shot at the All-ACC team. Last year it was 14 on first and 14 on second but I wonder if they will expand to compensate for the size increase. Partially based on name recognition/past teams because I believe that’s how coaches vote. Asterisks for locks. First Team: Audrey Koenig, OH, FSU Khori Louis, MB, FSU* Bianca Bertolino, OH, GA Tech Olivia Babcock, OPP, Pitt*, POY Rachel Fairbanks, S, Pitt* Torrey Stafford, OH, Pitt* Cara Cresse, MB, L’Ville (Most hesitant about this, but think there will be two MBs here. Kelley, Foster, Francis, or Haggerty could all replace) Anna DeBeer, OH, L’ville* Charitie Luper, OH, L’ville* Elena Scott, L, L’Ville*, DPOY Mabrey Shaffmaster, OH, UNC Celia Cullen, S, SMU* Kami Miner, S, Stanford*, SOY Elia Rubin, OH, Stanford* Second Team: Julia Haggerty, MB, Boston College Maggie Li, OH, Cal Tamara Otene, OH, GA Tech Flormarie Heredia Colon, OH, Miami Grace Lopez, OPP, Miami Bre Kelley, MB, Pitt Emmy Klika, L, Pitt Valeria Vasquez Gomes, OH, Pitt Natalie Foster, MB, SMU Naya Shime, OPP, SMU Maya Tabron, OH, SMU Sami Francis, MB, Stanford Elena Oglivie, L, Stanford Milan Gomillion, UVA Don’t think a frost will make it onto the teams but my money would be on Kurt unless Fairbanks starts setting Jones more. So much talent in this conference, apologies if I missed one of your faves. Last year, they had one MB on the first team (Louis) and 6 on the second team. The previous year, they had four on the first, five on the second. First team locks I think are Koenig, Babcock, Fairbanks, Stafford, Luper, Scott, Shaffmaster, Cullen, Miner, Rubin. DeBeer will probably be there, too. Middles are weird, again, they can take 1, they can take 4, but I think Cresse, Louis, Kelley, and Foster are going to be on either first or second team, in that order.

So much talent in this conference, apologies if I missed one of your faves. Would love it for Haggerty to get some recognition. She's a bright spot for BC, even if the record doesn't reflect the work she does for them (I wonder if BC's ever had an all-ACC team member... I don't think so). 2.01 B/S ( LEADS ACC with 143 so far), .327 H% with how streaky SR is. She was a part of the '22 NIVC championship, the first post-season experience for the team. I hope she gets her flowers.

I'm going to predict GT MB Logan Wiley will snag the ACC FOTW this week. She hit .545 versus NCS and .562 against Wake. Also totaled one block and nine block assists across the two matches.

That poor old man. Drive by meme'd for almost two years. As for ND getting a set, I thought they played really well. Yes, Pitt was running it's backups, and players may have been a little gassed. That said, ND has some really good young pieces in Gaerte, Bjork, and Langer, but the team is like either all Seniors/Grads or freshman. It might take a little while, but they are on the upswing, though, I'm pretty sure of that.

I think the 2nd best libero in the ACC is at Wake Forest. How she ended up there? No idea. She does so much for them, but she can’t control the next 2 contacts that happen after her pass.

Co-setter of the week is a freshman. Freshman of the week is a setter. They are different people.
