Going into the season for Baylor I'll give the nod to Lauren Briseno, but I fully expect it to be Elise McGhee when all is said and done.

Texas - Madi MF Skinner and it's not closeShe would like to have a word about that last part... I love Emma Halter so much. She’s such a joy to root for as a fan. I will be more sad when Halter’s career is finished than I will be for Madisen Skinner…but it’s still not close. Skinner entered Super Saiyan mode last year. I don’t think there’s a remote equivalent to her in all of college volleyball. I don’t believe Logan Eggleston was this good, and that feels like heresy.

Kennedy Martin for the Gators. Alexis Stucky joins her if fully recovered.

Iowa - I'm going with our new setter, Claire Ammeraal, especially if we are talking about both the potential overall positive impact one player can have on the entire team AND skill combined.
But mark my words, I think Freshman lefty RS Malu Garcia could be vying for this "title" by the end of this season, if she progresses like I hope she will.

Big Bergen Reilly fan. As a setter, she does all the little things right. Such good hands, super high volleyball IQ, really showed how important a good setter is to a top team this year. Really excited to see Andi Jackson’s growth as well. Crazy high ceiling. Hard to choose a standout with Neb because their strength is in their unity as a team of high-level players. I’m also intrigued by Wisconsin’s freshmen, wanting to see how they break in the lineup. Their MB probably won’t but TSC and Charlie may well get to shine. I want to see Caroline Jurevicius pound some balls with PSU, and I honestly feel so lucky as a vb fan that we get Sarah Franklin and Madi Skinner for one more year. Beyond that, Caroline Kerr, Kirah Johnson, and Ifenna Cos-Okpalla are all favorites of mine. Betgren’s the best player on Nebraska?

I don’t think you could pick one but I think this past season compared to the season before shows she’s a heck of a difference-maker.
