Hey Volley Talkers!
As we get closer to the 2024 season, I’d love to hear about the standout players on your teams. Who do you think is the VERY BEST player on your roster this year?
Feel free to represent any conference or region—let’s celebrate the talent across the entire country!

Big Bergen Reilly fan. As a setter, she does all the little things right. Such good hands, super high volleyball IQ, really showed how important a good setter is to a top team this year. Really excited to see Andi Jackson’s growth as well. Crazy high ceiling. Hard to choose a standout with Neb because their strength is in their unity as a team of high-level players.
I’m also intrigued by Wisconsin’s freshmen, wanting to see how they break in the lineup. Their MB probably won’t but TSC and Charlie may well get to shine. I want to see Caroline Jurevicius pound some balls with PSU, and I honestly feel so lucky as a vb fan that we get Sarah Franklin and Madi Skinner for one more year. Beyond that, Caroline Kerr, Kirah Johnson, and Ifenna Cos-Okpalla are all favorites of mine.

Minnesota - Melani Shaffmaster.
Likely not the best pure setter on the team (although she’s made great strides in the last year), but likely the best all-around pure volleyball player, factoring in every skill.

To me, this screams Lexi Rodriguez at Nebraska. I can't believe it's already her senior year.

Wisconsin - The NPOY Sarah Franklin
also cannot believe this is her final NCAA season. Will be feeling weepy towards the ends of our season, so many outstanding seniors and 5th years graduating this year.

Texas - Madi MF Skinner and it's not close She has two middle names? LR is going to have a very fruitful professional career, and in my IMO if she continues on this trajectory she will play for Team USA

Well she kind of already has, for VNL Yes, but replacing JWO after the LA 2028 games Oh sorry my bad. You're talking about Rodriguez (who didn't play VNL). I was talking about Madi Skinner (who has).
