Don't agree that Christenson is better than Ball, not by a long shot. Sander may become a better hitter than Priddy ever was, and I think Holt is very likely to be better than Millar ever was. As for serving, well, until Max is able to consistently serve the ball in the court, (which he seems to be getting better at doing) I will not consider him a better server than Priddy. Now if he can just hold off James Shaw.... Don't think he has to worry about Shaw. IMO, West is better than Shaw, and Seif is close to Shaw. Christenson is definitely ahead of the pack.

Christenson will probably start in Rio but I think Shoji will be replaced by Shaw within a year. Interesting Sunderland's commentary on the final wasn't for broadcast within the states, perhaps only for UK, Australia, and elsewhere. I wish Sunderland and Marlowe would do all the commentary together.

Christenson had a nice performance, no only because of his beautiful setting skills, but also because of his great serve. In the semi final vs Iran and final vs Brazil, in some key moments, he launched some bombs giving US the necessary advantage to control the game.

Christenson has been given annointed one status by the USA braintrust. Once you get to that, only Dusty Dvorak, Jeff Stork, or Lloy Ball can replace you.

Here's a link to an interview BYU Sports Nation did with Taylor Sander last week in case anyone is interested.
