Where is Erbe transferring --which school? Was surprised that Lonise Norfleet--there's a name from the past, she stayed put.

What is the max scholarships a sand team can have? Unless it's changed for this year, it's 6 if you have an indoor team and 8 if you don't. It's not a counting sport so you can give partials.

So Nebraska most likely has more than 12 of their indoor players on scholarship because their indoor players play sand?

So Nebraska most likely has more than 12 of their indoor players on scholarship because their indoor players play sand? Nah. One, Nebraska doesn't offer sand scholarships. Two, even it they did, the NCAA rules are written as such to make it virtually impossible for a player on a sand scholarship to also play indoor.

Besides that, Nebraska 'Sand' season last a total of 8 days, but then again it was only 10 last year.

Just to establish some continuity (w/ understanding): George "Dad" Center Duke Paoa Kahanamoku Tom "Daddy" Haines Jeff Hall Ari Homayun (out of CA but we'll take her) To say then that five of the eight representatives--western Mississippi-divide--all at the 2015 AVCA Sand Collegiate Championships should go as follows, University of the Pacific Pepperdine USC UCLA Nebraska --- I've never been to Gulf Shores, AL on the shores of the Gulf of Mexico.

I thought that you couldn't play both if you're on a sand schollie until 2 years or soemthing

Sand athletes may participate on the indoor team after their second year competing on the sand team...only time i know of it happening is at FSU when Aurora Newgard played indoor her senior year.

Not completely accurate. Any player on a sand scholarship who plays indoor will count against the indoor scholarship limit. After a player has been on a sand scholarship for two seasons, they are eligible to be switched over to an indoor scholarship. However, if they remain on a sand scholarship their junior/senior years, it still counts against the indoor limit. The idea is to keep schools from essentially having up to 18 indoor players on scholarship.

It will be interesting to see how everything plays out in Huskerland; when in 2016, Sand (Beach) becomes an Official NCAA Championship Sport. The Huskers still don't have their own 'Home' facility, so will they invest in one? Will they take Beach seriously? They have enough volleyball revenue to pay for a solid Beach season on the road if they so choose. Will they have some Beach Scholarship players only and fill the rest of the roster with indoor players who want to play? They are definitely in a unique situation.

How is their situation unique to any other top program in the nation taking beach seriously for the past 3 years?
