Pretty much saying they don't owe it to her & their not paying her anything. Read between the lines. Sorry to be so pessimistic, but this won't end well....Boy, would I hate to see this situation not get resolved. So many people affected by this disagreement between these two.

True, but I believe the standard is "Company X does not comment on pending litigation.". This statement at least hands out some hints. 1) Looking for speedy resolution. 2) It's about all the players. 3) We value Kerri. It's not combative, doesn't double down on offensive comments, and is not an ultimatum. In this day and age, I'm taking it as a positive.

While its a good sign that this isn't a statement "throwing down the gauntlet", there is some cause for concern. The entire line, "We feel confident that when all the facts in this matter are considered that there will be a prompt and speedy resolution" subtly (or really not so subtly) implies that the AVP does not see itself in the wrong, and that the wording of the contract is on their side. This is a pretty far cry from what Kerri has been saying.
But really, what else is the AVP going to say? There is no way they want this to turn into a long, drawn out slug.

If their position was they didn't owe her the money they likely would have said that. (If they know they owe her and publicly say they don't its actionable) Guessing from the non-statement I think the AVP is trying to settle for less than the full amount

Guessing from the non-statement I think the AVP is trying to settle for less than the full amount The million dollar question becomes: how much money will both sides settle on? If Kerri is adamant she gets the full amount (and the AVP doesn't want to pay that), this will cause major headaches for sure. If this was January, it would be somewhat less damaging (lets face it: "star player sues league" isn't a headline management ever wants to wake up to) since time wasn't such an issue. Yet seeing how it's the eve to the start of the season.....big headaches for the league, especially if they want to project stability. Sorry, this may sound pessimistic, but so much for the whole "we're going to grow the sport during these post Olympic years." Yeah.....

I have been saying right along that Donny ☀️ Wants a tour that doesn't include Walsh (for some stupid reason). The biggest reason probably the money she is looking to collect. If she is not there, he doesn't have to pay appearance fees, she won't win which means it will showcase other younger players (Sara & Kelly among others). Will use April as the main face of the AVP on the women's side while the younger Ladies get more experience in the spotlight. I mean this makes perfect sense for Donny!! Not sure about what all the fans that pile in just to see Kerri will think, but he won't care about that....Just my opinion...I'm sure Kerri knows this too!!

PS...Yes, we all want BVB to grow and need it to grow here in the USA, but not going to happen with this fiasco going on. Not to mention all the sponsors & mediA (meaning NBC-which happens to be in love with Kerri and a huge supporter of Kerri) that will be running scared in the next few weeks.

If they don't come to a speedy resolution, the $150,000 will be eaten up pretty quickly by the lawyer's fees.

Eh, "prompt and speedy resolution" actually indicates they know they have a losing case. They're probably pleading poverty.

Actually maybe the opposite. They think they are going to win, perhaps a "good will" clause was broken, who knows but the AVP is not of of money..

Nah, then they'd include something about their confidence in prevailing or belief in their case. In litigation circles, prompt and speedy = settle as you soon as you can.
