The future of the US Womens national team is sad! I think the future for middles is pretty good for the USA! However, besides Hill and Robinson, none of the upcoming/current left sides seem to be able to pass or hit at an elite level just yet.

In the context of the earlier post about Glass, it was clearly a joke and sarcasm. But there are always people who are way too literal or don't get context. Ain't that the problem with internet forums? We just can't convey tone and feel all that well...

The future of the US Womens national team is sad! It wasn't before Karch became the head coach!

The future of the US Womens national team is sad! But all kidding aside, how far into the future are you looking? I'm seeing some mighty good bright spots coming through the pipeline.

Like who? Please enlighten me. Other than Inky, who else? Are there some super amazing players hidden away that I don't know off?

If Ebony N. is able to handle being away from home, which is a real issue with her, she is a force. Certainly not a 6 rotation player though, and with limited subs at that level it could be a hindrance for her. I listened to an interview with Mick H. of USC discussing his desire for a reduction in the number of subs recently, and he made a lot of sense. Volleyball is generally a tall athletes game, and while it is the most popular women's sport in the US, it's overpopulated with girls under the mid 5 foot level. There isn't a spot at the college level for most of them. Wow, have I gotten off track.....

It is an advantage to US volleyball that volleyball is the most popular women's sport so the majority of shorter kids can participate. The disadvantage is that we don't have a pro league to keep players in the sports and to continue their development after college. The spots in Anaheim are very limited.

I am a USC fan, but I'm also a volleyball fan. I don't "hate" any teams, and I enjoy a competitive, well played game by any schools. As a Longhorn fan, you should admit that Ebony carried your team in the championship match last season. She is a tremendous player, and seems to be a wonderful person as well. She does have an issue with being far from home, and that's lust life, not a slam on her. Ease up and just appreciate the sport.

Sports are the best thing for kids of all ages. There are too many paths that lead to poor decisions, and the type of person who is committed to a team is far less likely to travel the wrong road. That said, volleyball may not be the best avenue for some smaller kids. Lets say half of the youth players today are 5'5' or less. What positions do they have a possibility of filling in college? There are maybe 350 colleges with volleyball, and the only spots for them are Libero or DS. Probably about 350 will end up on a school team each year. With roughly 10,000 kids playing youth volleyball right now, that's a lot who are suddenly left out of the only sport they love and have skill in. That's a tough realization, but its true.

Karch and staff have at least three years to identify the best, and uncover the diamonds in the rough. 🇺🇸🏐❤️

I can understand where internationalball is coming from, we have no one at the calibre of the last Olympic team. I see Alhassan and Ajanaku being successful in the future for the U.S., I don't see anyone else.
