At the Holiday Camp USAV HP measured all the kids - In shoes, with arguably lowered measuring tapes. My kid at the doctor is 6'3", and at HP he is 6' 4.5"... It is what it is. 6'3" sound about right for in shoes plus .5" for Jordan. Haha - USA Volleyball measured my son about 3 inches taller than he was. It is what happens when a short person measures someone really tall.

One related thing I recently saw on this, looking at D1 rosters: Trever Nachimzon shrank by 2" when he transferred from CSUN to St. Francis. Same young man, but 5'10" as a Red Flash, vs 6'0" as a Matador. I assume one of those is accurate, and I have a feeling I know which one. Haha. We had been listing my son as 6’8” for recruiting. At CSUN they put him against a wall, measured him and said he was 6’9”. So of course he became 6’9” for recruiting. If he had gone to CSUN I guess they would have said he was 6’10” 😂😂

(6'1"+) + (shoes) + (rounding up) = 6'3" I just assume all the HS player's heights are fudged by 1 to 2 inches. I wouldn’t say he’s 6’1 either, he’s no doubt the best 2022 OH, but I’ve played with him before and he is just nudging ab 6ft, his vertical makes up for it and he has no problem hitting against huge blocks and still getting kills. He is top 3 forsure. I don't know about being "no doubt the best 2022 OH". Are we forgetting a couple players such as Dillon Klein, Ryan Duross, Theo Snoey (who did play some OH), and oh yeah... Josh Ewert?

Jordan played more, had more kills, and basically carried the red team. They are both great players, but 2 years in a row they’ve played together at USA, and Jordan has been visually and statistically better.

If Dillon Klein is the kid on MB Surf 17s, who is a sophomore.... he has a very high ceiling.

Dillon Klein is going to be the best in his class.

Klein is very good, struggles with consistency rn but what sophomore doesn’t lol. He may pull ahead in the future, 2022 as a class is not as strong as some recent classes, but they have a few standout players. Lucas, Klein, and ewert are the best OHs so far that I’ve see.

He should be a junior right now, but repeated the 8th grade. So he is about a year older than everyone he’s being compared to. Idk if it was for recruiting purposes but if so it was a smart move ig lol. But if he continued into high school as normal after 1 year oh eighth grade instead of 2, he would be a junior.

I don’t think it was for recruiting purposes. Rumor is the kid changed his grades and got expelled.

He went into the grading system and changed his final grades, got expelled, and therefore did not graduate. He had to repeat eight grade and now gets to be compared to a bunch of kids a year younger, a year less physically matured, etc.

Snoey? Snoey plays Oppo mostly, no? I appreciate Kane, and he's is a favorite of mine, but... no, he's not the same level as Lucas or Klein. Yet.

Whatever the reason for being a sophomore, I don't think it really matters. All the kids mentioned (and I will add a couple of more) play 17s in club, and play Varsity in High School.... I don't think it matters their age compared to the sophomore class -
Dillon Klein Andrew Rowan Andrew Shevland
All 17s aged kids who are sophomores.
I am unsure about Jordan (i dont even know his last name), but wouldn't surprise me if we was a 17's aged player also. The real treat for OCVC and MB Surf - especially OCVC, who has 3 of the players listed above - They get another year of 18s!!
