Best all around 2022 rn is Lucas. Klein can match him offensively but not on a consistent basis. Lucas is almost never shut down in a match. And Lucas passing and defense is noticeably further along the Klein right now. Ewert is good when he’s good, but can sometimes just do absolutely nothing (hp this past summer was very ineffective during tournament play). I agree with the poster above regarding Dane and Owen. It could change in the future but at this moment in time, if you were making an all star team of 2022, Lucas is going to be the first OH you choose Lucas doesnt pass on ocvc... he hides on the back line...

It is interesting how his passing role has changed this year.

OCVC picked up a player they have as opposite (from Epic?), who can pass pretty well. It gives them flexibility to move Jordan in/out of serve / receive pretty easily.

A lot of talk about OH, who is the best oppo in 16s? Well... this is a 17s post so I am going to assume you accidentally said 16s... The best 17s oppos have to be... Max Lossone from SCVC 17 Quiksilver Gabe Dyer and one of the Oh twins... (want to say Riley?) Grant Dvorak of 17 Rockstar Ben Coordt had been seeing some action from the oppo position and he has been amazing... still a better outside tho Forgot the MB SURF oppo but he seems really good

It’s not because he can’t pass or isn’t capable, it’s to give him more offensive opportunities. He’s a proven passer.

Sorry, fat fingered it - 2021 He's a beast, looking forward to watching them this season. Pretty loaded squad, and with Redondo losing Rodriguez, they're the team to beat in the South Bay.

Yikes where'd he go? I know they lost that middle and I thought they'd be fine with Turner transferring, but losing him too? Redondo can kiss Bay League Champs goodbye.

Heard something about a concussion at the JBI, but probably a combination of factors - dude's been killing it for years, maybe he just needed a break...

He was the best passing OH for USA over the summer and was praised by the entire staff on his passing and defensive abilities. A huge reason he made the top actually. What are your facts that he is not a proven passer?
