I agree with the 17s selections, but who in your opinions is the best opposite hitter in the 16s/class of 22

Well... this is a 17s post so I am going to assume you accidentally said 16s... The best 17s oppos have to be... Max Lossone from SCVC 17 Quiksilver Gabe Dyer and one of the Oh twins... (want to say Riley?) Grant Dvorak of 17 Rockstar Ben Coordt had been seeing some action from the oppo position and he has been amazing... still a better outside tho Forgot the MB SURF oppo but he seems really good Ben is playing up, he is only 16. Is he 2021 or 2022? He is def not playing up, he is a junior playing 17s (2021). So he is playing at his right age group

I think opposites from B2B and SAS are also very strong players.

Ben is playing up, he is only 16. Is he 2021 or 2022? He is def not playing up, he is a junior playing 17s (2021). So he is playing at his right age group Grade ≠ Age. Because of the vagaries of the enrollment cutoff and the VB cutoff, you could easily have a 16 for VB be a junior (my older son, for one, would have fit in this category, had he played.)

Lucas doesnt pass on ocvc... he hides on the back line... He doesn’t pass because every team serves him short or deep to take him out of hitting the big and shoot sets. He literally receives every ball when he is in. It’s not because he can’t pass or isn’t capable, it’s to give him more offensive opportunities. He’s a proven passer. Thats just false. Jordan gets served out of games. He gets served because he cant pass.

Jordan isn't going to be an OH in college. He isn't ever going to be tall or physical enough. Dillon on the other hand is taller more athletic and certainly more physical and there is NO argument for that. Maybe in the future, but if we are talking right now, which we are, Jordan does more than Dillon does. They are both great players, but it’s obvious watching both of them play who is currently FAR more consistent and better in the back court. Watch both of them play against 352 from this season and you’ll see who did better against them. you continuously change your argument, now it’s that Dillon will be better in college... great, that’s cool, but this discussion was regarding the present of two players who are sophomores (one of them a sophomore because he was expelled from his grade school). it’s impossible to argue with someone who has a bias for a player because they are friends with them. It seems like you are friends w jordan...

He was the best passing OH at USA this past summer, it that’s not an opinion, it’s a stat

You can make it seem however you want, I just typically defend facts and statistical data, which is all I have done in this thread, not say someone is better just bc I think they are. Read all my posts in this thread, I’ve only put out info that can be backed up with data, including correcting your wrong info on why Jordan is pulled out of serve receive. Ocvc would rather have the bic attack instead of the D ball, so the Oppo passes

The inside dish from the club scene says both UCLA and LB State already expressed an interest in Robertson. Does he really have that sort of ceiling? I guess being 6-5 all of a sudden helps cuz he was a d3 level player before a growth spurt. Is he springy enough?

He is that kid, however, Klein could not play 16s if he wanted to. He should be a junior right now, but repeated the 8th grade. So he is about a year older than everyone he’s being compared to. Idk if it was for recruiting purposes but if so it was a smart move ig lol. But if he continued into high school as normal after 1 year oh eighth grade instead of 2, he would be a junior. Alright Gavin, that's enough. Oh no his friends have found me. I’m not criticizing him I’m just saying he is being compared to a bunch of kids he is a year older and more physically matured then. He’s one of the best in the country and he’s shown that many times, I was just pointing out that if we want a real comparison, he should be compared to kids his actual age.

How tall is Dane Hillis? I swear he wasn't an inch above 6' at BJNC but maybe I am wrong... He is stated to be 6'3 but has he really grown that much? If he did... Balboa are the favorites this year going into BJNC... if it happens of course

I guess he could be like Ethan Siegfried who was a undersized OH... Dane Hillis does seem to be putting the work in to become a much more athletic player

Dane Hillis does seem to be putting the work in to become a much more athletic player There’s only so much you can do to become “more athletic” but it’s mostly a naturally born thing people possess. I’m not saying this in regard to Dane idk much about him I’m just saying training to become a better player is reasonable, training to become more athletic is a lot of wasted time, gotta work with you were given
