Best all around 2022 rn is Lucas. Klein can match him offensively but not on a consistent basis. Lucas is almost never shut down in a match. And Lucas passing and defense is noticeably further along the Klein right now. Ewert is good when he’s good, but can sometimes just do absolutely nothing (hp this past summer was very ineffective during tournament play). I agree with the poster above regarding Dane and Owen. It could change in the future but at this moment in time, if you were making an all star team of 2022, Lucas is going to be the first OH you choose The best all around is Klein. IF the criteria is who do you pick, NOW, to build a team around, only one of the kids has shown he can elevate his teammates - Lucas, at Los Al last year. With one other club player, he won d5 cif and POY. Yes I know, d5 - but that's the point. He's not surrounded by elite players like Loyola or Pali. So (to me) he's also shown he has the intangibles that you're just not going to see (or need) on an elite club/HS team. (so those other kids may well be the same, just haven't had to do it, yet). In addition, he's a draw. You may or may not care for his demeanor on the court (I like it - he is who he is, it's fun to watch, and he backs it up), but ask a random player/parent (one somewhat into it, not just hanging at his kids game b/c it's his kid's game) who's been in division with them, who Klein, Kane or Loncar are and you'll likely get blank stares. By team and position? Sure - they all stand out. Not so with Lucas - our parents (and yes, mostly the moms), will go out of their way to watch him if we're on a break. The others? I'm interested, but I'm watching b/c they're on very good *teams*, not b/c of the individual. IF we're talking about which is the best D1 prospect? None of us knows, though I certainly enjoy the speculation, too. Life can get in the way with kids, particularly teen age boys. Loss of interest, burn out, injury, social life, etc. can all get in the way.

Based on what criteria? Other than that you go to school with him.... klein was on the best team at holiday camp Jordan Lucas was NOT Jordan team beat dillons teamsters holiday camp... but go off jordan led the top team at USA hp in kills while being the shortest hitter on the team, Dillon was not on that team bc he was kicked out of USA volleyballs hp pipeline. dillon played in ho championships with SCVA, however he didn’t start on, Dane and Noah were both starting over him. His team placed 17 in the second division, Jordan, who played in the highest division, while leading his team in kills, placed 11th. So Dillon, who was a bench player on a team that got 17 in the second division, doesn’t seem to have as much credit to his name as Jordan does, who was the best player on his team who not only got a higher placing, but was also in a better division. Dillon couldn’t even start on scva, meanwhile Jordan was starting for USA and carrying them. You clearly have a bias, seeing as you go to school with Dillon Klein, and are likely friends with him. However, facts do not have bias and that is where your claim that Dillon is better than Jordan seems a little faulty. just bc u wish Dillon was better, doesn’t mean he is

He isn't ever going to be tall or physical enough. Dillon on the other hand is taller more athletic and certainly more physical and there is NO argument for that.

For their respective positions Andrew Rowan>Jordan Lucas, and Dillon Klein is better than both of them

Maybe in the future, but if we are talking right now, which we are, Jordan does more than Dillon does. They are both great players, but it’s obvious watching both of them play who is currently FAR more consistent and better in the back court. Watch both of them play against 352 from this season and you’ll see who did better against them. you continuously change your argument, now it’s that Dillon will be better in college... great, that’s cool, but this discussion was regarding the present of two players who are sophomores (one of them a sophomore because he was expelled from his grade school). it’s impossible to argue with someone who has a bias for a player because they are friends with them.

I'm confused, did Benjamin Coordt quit volleyball? If I'm recruiting 17s, he's at the top of my list...

They're all talking about sophomores playing in 17s. IMO the best players in 17s regardless of grade in the SCVA are Ben Coordt (Rockstar), Gabe Dyer (Balboa), Jack Palmer (Wave), Kade McGovern (SG) to name a few

Dillon is a month older than Jordan so that argument about age is irrelevant

Jordan is around 6’1-6’2 realistically and is extremely athletic. Can’t see why he CAN’T be an OH. We have seen people such as JT Hatch and Colton Cowell be dominate as 6’0 outsides and I don’t doubt that Jordan has an amazing work ethic.

Bruh Jordan DOESNT have that kind of vertical jump whatsoever he has a good arm but certainly doesn’t jump like Cowell. And JT Hatch was a libero when it mattered most...
