Now I'm thinking Minnesota is ranked too high. They've gone up 11 spots in two weeks. This is a bonafide MN-hater.

By the way, what has Engle done so far to strike fear in the heart of anyone? She's going to be a very good, maybe great, player. But so far? Did you see her against Penn State pre-season? She is solid. The tricky lefty -- finds a way to put the ball down.

She is solid. The tricky lefty -- finds a way to put the ball down. She's gotten better since then too. I admit I expected her to terminate more or for a higher hitting %, but what she lacks in offense (consistency) she makes up for in her passing and defense. Once she cuts down on the unforced errors she will be hard to stop.

PSU would be lucky to be sent to UH...esp if the committee makes sure that UH plays PSU in the sweet 16... Ill take PSU over UH in 3 PSU is the proverbial choker of NCAA Volleyball teams in the tournament. I'd take Hawai'i, even with their depleted lineup. I'd love to see the Nittany Lions end their season in Hawai'i.

Not quite so much against Nebraska but she still showed a lot of potential... If she mysteriously dissapears, and an extremely similar looking player named "rachel smith" starts playing for Tennessee, that's just a coincedence and not because we kidnapped her or anything...

Bik, I hope they play each other as well. If they do, you gotta give me some of whatever it is you are smoking. You say PSU chokes in the NCAA's, were you there last year at the Missouri vs Hawaii match? It was a world class gagging by the Wahine. Didn't psu and Hawaii play last year on the island?

For some unknown reason BIK just doesn't like Penn State so we all have to live with it, He has no idea what happened to PSU last year other than they lost in the tournament. Must still be in denial over the double loss that the Lions put on Hawaii last year. Talk about a choke.......Hawaii had PSU down 2 games to 0 at home then the bottom fell out. Love the smell of Garlic in the evening.

I think BiK needs something to write about. There isn't much to write about Hawaii this year:)

You say PSU chokes in the NCAA's, were you there last year at the Missouri vs Hawaii match? No, State College doesn't appeal to me in the least. I did watch the match on TV though. It was a world class gagging by the Wahine. Didn't psu and Hawaii play last year on the island? Surely you jest. The "world class gagging" that you refer to happened in the match following Hawai'i/Mizzou. As to you question, yes PSU did play Hawai'i in Hawai'i, it should have been a split and besides, it wasn't a tourney match.

Or, in 2004 vs. Wisconsin. Wisconsin was playing at home and managed only a 2 point, 5 game victory against a Hawai'i team playing without its starting libero...That is not a choke. Refer to PSU 2005 for choking defined. And Minnesota has still NEVER beaten Hawai'i. ;D

Love the smell of Garlic in the evening. I don't dislike Penn State. What I dislike is the simple fact that EVERY year all of you sing Penn State's praises and EVERY year the Nittany Lions fall flat on their face in the tourney, whether it be a loss to Temple, UCLA, Tennessee, etc. I guess the Big 10 just doesn't have the Cajones to hang tough in the tourney. As for last year's matches against the Lions, yes, the Wahine choked by losing that 5 game match to PSU after blowing them out in the first two games...they should have finished it and didn't.

Bik, is it a coincidence that you failed to address the UH/Missouri match? Now if Hawaii has all of these excuses for not getting it done, why would PSU also not have circumstances that contribute to losing a few matches. PSU lost one of the best players in the country in Harmotto a week before the NCAA's, "Hawaii playing without it's starting libero....that is not a choke. Well under that rationale, PSU didn't choke either. Your talking out of both sides of your mouth or your other end. Didn't PSU and Hawaii also play on a neutral floor last year.

Bik, is it a coincidence that you failed to address the UH/Missouri match? What is to address? they lost. Coach Shoji said the Wahine just ran out of gas. Hawai'i was able to do something that even your Huskers couldn't do last year...beat Texas at Texas. Now if Hawaii has all of these excuses for not getting it done, why would PSU also not have circumstances that contribute to losing a few matches. PSU lost one of the best players in the country in Harmotto a week before the NCAA's Penn State was playing at home vs Cinderella and lost. Despite Harmotto's injury...they had great depth, didn't they? Didn't PSU and Hawaii also play on a neutral floor last year. Yes and Hawai'i lost playing without Sarah Mason and Tara Hittle.
