Think Diaz will have to think about those 2 free balls (at 13-10 and at 16-16) that he hit long out quite a bit tonight

Russia hits the tape on the serve to win 18-16. Such a bad way to end that epic match. Change the f***ing rule FIVB. And have even more dead balls? No thanks

too bad the Cubans lost. They were fun to watch. Semenov is one of the worst things that has happend to beach volleyball in recent years. Saw him play a couple of years ago and he could bearly move in the sand and played like an absolute beginner. His only quality is being tall.

Otherwise he would not be playing in Olympic semifinals.

With the Cubans out and Nick/Phil, I guess I am still interested to see if Allison can get a win, but ill probably watch the semi the day after (it comes on late here) and if they advance I doubt I will watch the final at all.

Of course I'm exaggerating a bit but let's be honest he wouldn't be on tour if he was 5-6 inches smaller (which would still a good size for a bv player). And as I mentioned I saw him play in the European Championships ( I believe) a couple of years ago and he would drive his partner nuts because he played like a tourist on a hotel volleyball court. I remember he once thought it was a good idea to hit a ball backwards with his back facing the net (and there was really no reason to do that) Of course it went into the net and his partner gave him a look. I guess what I'm saying is that he's really not the biggest talent... not the kind of talent that usually gets you to the semi finals of the olympic games. Even though he has improved to be fair.

Announcer says "these two pairs are arguably the best on the circuit right now." Granted they are both great, and playing great this year, and this is the current match going on, but it's pretty tough to leave out Kerri/April as one of the best pairs on the circuit, if not the best right now.

I never get sick of watching Bruno. That boy is the truth.
