I wish there were a ballot section on here to see how people’s rankings end up.
We'll have to figure something out going forward to appease the rest of VT.
I think the easiest way, although some work for vbprisoner, would be to compile all ballots in a google spreadsheet, then post the link to the spreadsheet.

This was my submission: 1) Stanford 2) BYU 3) Wisconsin 4) Illinois 5) Nebraska 6) Penn State 7) Minnesota 8) Texas 9) Pittsburgh 10) USC 11) Florida 12) Michigan 13) Purdue 14) Oregon 15) Marquette 16) Creighton 17) Cal Poly 18) Washington 19) Portland 20) Kansas State 21) Kentucky 22) Colorado 23) Baylor 24) Arizona 25) UCLA My fellow VT pollsters need not share their submissions. I feel I need to be accountable since I always complained about the AVCA poll. People are sleeping on Portland and Kansas State. I didn't want to remove Wazzu from my top 25 but I feel the teams I have in my poll are better than they are right now. They are in my just missed list with a few other teams. As for Stanford and BYU- Yes BYU beat the Cardinal but I believe Stanford is the best team in the country, they played a better non conference schedule than BYU did so I put them at the top. [b What makes you think Illinois is a top 4 team? I have them at #4 as well. Where would you place them?

Here’s mine. I moved Stanford back to #1 - after beating Texas soundly twice, their resume is just too good. I stand by Illinois at 4 - their biggest question coming into the season was elite pin hitters and boy have Quade and Cooney been like HELLO!
I tend to not punish teams for losing to squads ranked better than them - hence why I still have Louisville and UNI ranked. I don’t really stand by that but neither team has question mark losses like Georgia, Alabama, Colorado, Utah, etc. do.
1. Stanford 2. BYU 3. Wisconsin 4. Illinois 5. Nebraska 6. Penn State 7. Texas 8. Minnesota 9. Pittsburgh 10. Florida 11. Southern Cal 12. Oregon 13. Creighton 14. Washington 15. Marquette 16. Cal Poly 17. Kentucky 18. UCLA 19. Michigan 20. Baylor 21. Purdue 22. Colorado 23. Louisville 24. Washington State 25. UNI

Penn state hasn’t had a meaningful win yet and neither has Nebraska... Texas should’ve only dropped to 4 at most. I know two losses to Stanford don’t look good but Stanford is a top team. The other two ahead of them haven’t won meaningful matches so... Why are we acting like Oregon isn’t a meaningful win

They don't, and shouldn't, rank because they've yet to have a quality win.

I think Penn State is ranked too high in most polls.
After watching them play American on Saturday, I'd say they are #9-11 range.

They’re higher teens (18) in ranking... that’s not impressive...

Here is mine. BYU/Stanford is interchangeable. Wisky at #3. Texas/Nebraska interchangeable. Then the next 6 are basically interchangeable. I find Baylor and Kentucky very difficult to rank - but if healthy I think both are very good. No idea how to rank (order) Washington/UCLA/Washington State. Creighton and Marquette aren't very high in Pablo - but I ran out of more deserving teams. I am comfortable with LMU having seen them in person. Colorado apparently has battled some injuries so I keep them in the Top 24. Finding a deserving 25th team is impossible. I had Michigan State, Portland, and Kansas State as the next 3.

I guess I give more credit for quality wins than I punish for bad losses. Probably goes toward caring more about "ceiling" than "floor".

I think Penn State is ranked too high in most polls. After watching them play American on Saturday, I'd say they are #9-11 range. Wasn't that without Nia Reed? If so, 9-11 might be right without her, but with her I'd place them higher.

Nebraska swept Oregon. That’s a big win. not to be rude, but since when has beating Oregon been a big win? They’re higher teens (18) in ranking... that’s not impressive... Interesting observation. Oregon beat Minnesota on neutral turf. Is Minnesota too high then? Or is beating Minn not a big win? Oregon has zero bad losses. Has only lost to Top 5 teams. Although personally, despite PSU's potential, I don't find them a Top 5 squad. Top ten, yes.

Why is everyone disrespecting Illinois? It’s not like their schedule isn’t good. They have wins over Colorado State, Colorado, Washington, UNI, and Creighton those are all good teams. They should be higher until they rack up losses. They scheduled well, and haven’t tripped up yet. I’m just not sure how they’ll be against one of the other teams in the top 8. I’m not sure they have enough. I should also say that I’m an Illini fan. Curious on what non-biased people think of them since they’re the only team in the top tier that hasn’t played someone else elite.

Very objectively, it's understandable why the AVCA and VT polls continue to draw the line for Illinois at #8 despite their excellent early results. They played 5 of the 7 teams ahead of them last year (Stanford, Nebraska, Penn State, Wisconsin, and Minnesota) a total of 7 times and only won once (Minnesota). So even though they have now beaten 5 teams that were or are top 25, the jury is still out on whether they can beat those 7 teams ahead of them. Fair enough.
That question will be answered soon. Nebraska, in two weeks, to start.
