Just saw Hugh’s contract extension news on the jobs thread. He signed up for $550,000.
What are the salaries for the other coaches in the league?
Imagine Cook and Rose make more than Hugh. Maybe Sheffield?
What a great gig.

I would think John Cook is the highest paid coach in the NCAA’s. If not he should be.

Sheffield was at $461K as of 2019-2020, up from $378K in 2018-2019. He would have been due to receive a contract extension in the spring of 2021 - per articles in the Milw Journal - but because of the spring VB season, that was delayed. I don't find an article saying that has happened.

That is really strange. His 2020 base salary was $356,000.00 with $105,600.00 in "additional" wages. In 2021 that went down to a base of $279,650.00 with an additional wages totaling $66,000.00. His 2021 total was less than his 2020 base. |

His 2021 total was less than his 2020 base. this was mentioned earlier this year, UW took a huge financial hit as did most universities and had to cut back on spending. I would be surprised if this isn't more common outside of the huge football factories. |

His 2021 total was less than his 2020 base. There were both COVID related furloughs in 2020 throughout the UW system, and specific salary reductions within the athletic dept. The articles on the athletic dept mention the head football coach, basketball coach and AD specifically taking 15% cuts. So... COVID related |
