This class is STACKED!! When was the last time Purdue had a class this full of talent? Was it the 2014 class with Cuttino, Stahl, Dimke, etc? I can't remember what Mo Hornung, Cleveland, and Johnson's class was? Either way, the future is ridiculously bright for Purdue, especially with Ali Hornung and Colvin being just sophomores and Hudson as a freshman. I’m so excited for the future of Purdue VB. What a combination Chicoine and Hudson are going to be next year… 🥹

I am ecstatic about this!!!! The future couldn’t be better. Good quality players that want to bring Purdue to the next level. Team first and want to make history. Still remember when Merlau, Lynch, and Miller were Freshman. I was LOVING that class. Now Purdue has this kind of class coming in next year. Shondell and Co. are something special and I am happy for them.

Boilers are also pursuing some of the top 2025 players so they should be able to keep the recruiting momentum going into the future.

What's the thinking on how Purdue will use Hudson, Chicoine, & Wollard?

If Hudson sits, then … what a great problem. Something tells me that ain’t happening though.

What's the thinking on how Purdue will use Hudson, Chicoine, & Wollard? Have Hudson or Willard ever played opposite?

I think that lefty Nebraska kid is gonna hold down that spot - I want to know where Warren falls into this My guess is Rastovski, Heaney, and Warren are all going to compete for the OPP spot. Coach Shondell honors and rewards loyalty. He's really high on Rastovski, so he'll make sure she gets some court time next year. Hudson will be the only real experienced OH, so she'll most likely hold down her L2 spot with Wollard and Chicoine competing for the L1 spot. They could play Wollard front row and Chicoine back row. I think Ali Hornung is destined for the libero jersey with Brown, Kane, and Williams all going after a DS spot, possibly for the OPP.

Probably not as fun for the players, but isn't this awesome as a fan to have this problem to think about?!

Do you or does anyone think that any of the future Freshman will want to redshirt? Purdue will have so much depth next year.

I definitely don't think any freshman has ever WANTED to redshirt, unless injured. They want to come in, get on the court, make an impact, especially since most of them are used to being one of the best players in their high school or club. But I also think it's an inevitable thing, more so because of the COVID years. I don't know who will it'll be yet. Coach Shondell said on the latest Dig City that 4 of the freshmen will be there in January, so we might have a better idea after the spring season.
