nivc is a joke of a tournament imo. it doesn't have nearly the respect of the NIT. nivc can hardly even get teams to commit to playing in it

You cannot compare KU in the NIT to any school in the NIVC... How many Power 5 schools with massive attendance ratings during the regular season even try to host in the NIVC? I just looked at the bracket and I do not see any. The most attendance KU WBB had at a home game all year was around 4k from what I could see. Also the WNIT is broadcasted and marketed way better than the NIVC.

Women’s volleyball coaches have decided they don’t want to do it. And because of that, tens of thousands of more spectators go watch postseason Women’s basketball.

y'all sound like the meathead "fans" that say that volleyball is a joke of a sport because its attendance numbers don't match those of football

I’m saying women’s basketball is doing a better job of growing their sport than volleyball is. And one of the reasons is the refusal to embrace a chance to play more games in front of more fans. It’s strange to me that programs like Maryland and Northwestern think they are too good for the NIVC.

I said the nivc is a joke, and it is. I’ve worked three NIVC games. there’s little to no respect given to any of the games.

y'all sound like the meathead "fans" that say that volleyball is a joke of a sport because its attendance numbers don't match those of football Nobody is saying that. What we are saying is that nobody in the ncaa cares about any post season tournament besides the ncaa tournament. The only people that take it seriously are the teams that participate in the NIVC. But, those usually are not schools with big fan bases, budgets, etc.

NIVC Championship Attendance: 1,341 NCAA WNIT Championship Attendance: 11,701 what should be done away with is the CBI/WBI.

NIVC Championship Attendance: 1,341 NCAA WNIT Championship Attendance: 11,701 what should be done away with is the CBI/WBI. why do away with any of them if there are enough teams that want to compete in them (and are willing to spend the money needed to do so)? Also, why are you calling it "NCAA WNIT" when it isn't the NCAA that is running it?

Nobody has said either of these tournaments should be scrapped. Everyone IS saying that the WNIT is more respected by the NCAA and coaches alike. The NIVC is not and that needs to change, from every angle. P5 schools think it is a joke, when they could be using it for recruiting. The teams that do compete are very proud of it. They just do not have the ability to get 10k fans. I am saying that it needs respected more.

Respect is earned. How is the NIVC going to earn more respect? and just how did the NIT "earn more respect"?
