I'm glad you finally admitted the Wisconsin recruiting intentions, "no freshman" I think Building a cohesive team is important and your core should be your incoming freshman and focus. Winning national titles isn't easy. The portal is here to stay. The future is using both freshman and the portal to build your team. Look at Clemson and their struggles in maintaining where they have been in football. They are the only top team that refuses to use the portal and most experts believe that it’s costing them. I have no problem using both incoming freshman and the portal to build a team. Bringing in players like Franklin, CC, and Booth that have 3 years of eligibility and have already proven themselves at the college level is extremely valuable. If Charlie is as good as advertised next years team is going to be absolutely loaded and will have a great chance to be right back in the Final Four with a chance to win it all. This was a final four team. I think they are a cohesive unit and fight for each other. We just had a bad night at the wrong time. The team we played and how they played was a big part of us having a bad night and they deserve a ton of credit. Izzy and MJ leave with multiple B1G Titles, multiple trips to the Final Four, and a national championship. That’s quite the legacy. But........ these 17 year olds don't want to committ to schools who flip rosters. I think that's the part that people forget. Lots of these young athletes want to know what there 4 year careers will be like, who their teammates will be, etc... this isnwhere a team culture gets lost and why it's pretty important. 1 or 2 transfer is likely ok, but ......... live by the portal, die by the portal. Sheff is excellent at recruiting, he needs to get back at focusing on athletes at the club level. Just my opinion.

Texas match Points scored during the serve of server: Izzy: 2 points scored, 9 times serve lost MJ: 4 points scored, 7 times serve lost Franklin: 2 points scored, 8 times serve lost Orzol: 2 points scored, 8 times serve lost CC: 5 points scored, 9 times serve lost GG: 11 points scored, 6 times serve lost Boyer: 1 point scored, 3 times serve lost Not to claim GG had a great night but impressed to see that she was the only server "in the black" by miles. She's been strong from behind the line this year but this is a stand-out stat (that perhaps says more about her teammates than her, but still)

Winning championships is hard. Really hard. One team is going to win six straight matches against increasingly tough competition, and 63 others are not. Some people seem to think we’ve won 10 national titles and only getting to the Elite 8 or Final 4 or Finals is an embarrassment. I like this board for information and analysis purposes. But I really just need to stop coming on here and enjoy my positive vibes from our incredible success of the past 10 years on my own. Absolutely agree. Sheffield and his staff have done an amazing job of getting this program to the highest level and sustaining that success. It’s like Packers fans complaining about the qb play this year. Do they not realize that having 30 years of hall of fame play at the most important position is way outside of normal? I applaud what this team accomplished this year and am really looking forward to seeing the pieces being put together next year for another deep run.

I’m gonna say it one more time as a reminder - Izzy is this program’s career leader in aces. We are all sad today largely being on the wrong side of serving. Maybe worth a ponder re how much woe Izzy put into teams in that area in her career. And yes Texas succeeded in their game plan of wearing us down, but every team the Badgers beat this year surely felt incredibly worn down, often demoralized. We had the favor returned by a team that just beat Stanford on their own court.

Kudos and thanks to this team and these seniors for providing many memories and outstanding moments! They were Badgers through thick and thin! As fans we should appreciate the efforts and sacrifices they make every day on behalf of Wisconsin. Sometimes the volleyball just doesn’t bounce your way. Tonight was one of those nights. I’m sure no one is more disappointed than the women wearing those jerseys. Love my Badgers, win or lose! Onward to whatever is next for all! Re-upping that. The 'wheels fell off' in one match. That's pretty much it. Unfortunately- it was the last match of the year. Bucky had another wonderful Season, of which they'll be able to look back upon and feel pride. Nobody will ever be able to take that, and the lifelong friendships made, away from them. On! Wisconsin

It can happen, it doesn't negate anything that these ladies have done all year.

The Badgers have had 5 banner hanging seasons in a row, which is a really good streak.
