from what I have seen from posts, numerous parents are thrilled it is him.
Mike is a good guy, actually a great guy. But, I do hope that he will be a great coach which entails much more than being a great guy. Will support him and hope he takes the program to new heights.

Agreed. He wasn’t who I wanted but it’s his job now. I hope he does well and brings in a good staff.

Whoever does PR for Bubba needs to be fired. It’s obvious how this panned out that you settled, but maybe feign some sort of excitement for the announcement on Twitter at least.

Here’s hoping Mike proves doubters wrong. I think it’ll depend on the staff he brings in. He’s well connected and has ties to Penn State alum and coaches. So, we’ll see.

This tweet from Bubba is an example of "losing the press conference/announcement." But that doesn't necessarily mean the hire will turn out to be a poor one. I don't like the overall vibe of the process -- if you were going to pick Mike, pick him in mid-January -- but that part of it is basically over after today.

As far as i know, the only top coaches contacted were for recommendations and not to ask about their own interest in the job. |
