Fox just announced they will broadcast a package of Friday night football games - including B1G games - starting this fall. So now, D1 WVB (and other sports) will have to compete with college football on Friday nights and all day Saturday, plus the NFL on Sunday. That's not too surprising. Fox paid a lot of money for those Big Ten football rights (looks like the plan also involves the Big 12 and Mountain West).

It is going to kill their recruiting for many sports excluding football. Sure. Ok. Can't wait to see there schedule. I hope they have to travel to Rutgers and Maryland.

Can't wait to see there schedule. I hope they have to travel to Rutgers and Maryland. The home-away pairings were posted weeks ago by every team in the conference. Your undying love of making proclamations about things you know nothing about and don’t even bother doing the most basic search to check on never ceases to amaze me.

Not on the USC web site It’s on their social media. And again on literally every single team in the conference’s social media. They all released it the same week. This is not rocket science.

Not posted on their USC web site. This seems like a dumb argument to pick. A LOT of schools haven't announced the conference schedule on their official school athletics website - probably because it's not actually set yet - we just know the home and aways, we don't know when and where these contests are going to be played yet. When there is a schedule to be posted on the schools' athletics website, it will be posted, and an announcement made, which, presumably, will encompass the non-conference slate as well. The people that control the teams' social media accounts are usually NOT the same people that update the athletics website.

Can't wait to see there schedule. I hope they have to travel to Rutgers and Maryland. As an aside, this isn't going to be the worst trip for USC/UCLA. (Or even Washington/Oregon) The reason: You can get direct flights from LA to DC/Newark. The toughest road trips are going to be the smaller B1G college towns you can't get a direct flight to. (This is excluding football and big money sports which will charter a plane)

It would stink if USC and UCLA weren’t also chartering.

USC Coach Brad Keller talked a little about the challenges of travel to B1G matches on the Volleyball Master Coaches podcast at the 6:30 mark. It sounds like they are looking at a combination of charter and commercial flights but nothing is set in stone at this point.

It's going to be a slight adjustment, but, a friendly reminder of team's travel schedules in 2023 for the non-conference:
USC went to Houston, Hawaii and West Lafayette UCLA went to Louisiana, Hawaii, and Oklahoma Washington was the only one who really didn't go far, they did California twice + Louisiana. Oregon traveled to 4 different time zones in 4 weeks (Hawaii, Wisconsin, Pittsburgh, California)
I would be shocked if these schools don't ease up, at least slightly, on their non-conference travel.
