hopefully that the Pac-12 tv deal will be done soon and the other schools of SMU and SDSU will be admitted to the conference. Maybe the conference should add 2 more schools after SMU and TCU. Hopefully the new tv deal will make the remaining schools in the conference to stay and not leave the conference

Hopefully the new tv deal will make the remaining schools in the conference to stay and not leave the conference I think they add SDSU and FSU to keep a presence in SoCal, the lack of which may be why ESPN, Fox, etc., don't want to pay what the Pac thinks it's worth. SMU and TCU are "religious" schools that don't "fit" the Pac and would just dilute the payout.

Hopefully the new tv deal will make the remaining schools in the conference to stay and not leave the conference I assume you listing TCU is an error. TCU wouldn't leave the Big 12 that has a solid TV deal for the Pac 12 with no deal yet and expectation that it's TV deal will be less than the Big 12's.

Maybe Fresno? Although Fresno State is actually "California State University, Fresno".

Yeah, they go by "Fresno State", but I've never seen any instance of them going by "Fresno State University" or "FSU". (FWIW, I do not claim to be an expert in how Fresno State refers to itself.) Fullerton goes by CSUF, so that's kind of off the table.

Now that you mention it, I can’t recall ever hearing them referred to as “Fresno State University”, and it looks like the “official” unofficial way to refer to the athletics department is “Fresno State” (although their athletic website is gobulldogs.com).

TV deal? So far no one from the “TV” side is involved. I hear Amazon and maybe Apple TV but it does not look like the PAC 12 will see any of its event shown on network or cable TV.
The conference is in quite a mess. They are getting sued by a couple of former employees who alleged that the PAC 12 fired them unlawfully and overcharging Comcast by $50mil.
With this kind of lawsuit hanging over their heads, the PAC 12 have zero leverage to demand big money.

FSU is Florida State. But in this case, I believe they're talking about Fresno State.

FSU is not a presence in SoCal. Depends on where you draw the line. Fresno is 220 miles north of L.A. San Diego is 120 miles south of L.A. That puts FSU and SDSU firmly in "southern California", and the only FBS football schools in the area. FSU and SDSU have been more "competitive" than some current Pac-12 teams.
