While some of those are typical bottom feeders, there are several teams they should not have beaten: Marshall, College of Charleston, maybe Jacksonville, Northern Arizona, Chattanooga, Samford. So kudos to them for putting up some really solid wins at what has to be an extremely challenging place to recruit to. I don’t think many 18-year-old girls are really into a military-type lifestyle, cutting their hair super short and wearing a uniform every day. Impressive. First-year female cadets at The Citadel do not have to wear short hair. Only the men do. Women demanded to be admitted to The Citadel in the name of equality, then immediately demanded preferential treatment when they realized equality meant shaved heads. Not true! Female cadets absolutely had to wear short hair for years. They only changed the policy a couple years ago.

Also, Dave has done an amazing job there. Incredibly tough place to win.

Women have never had to wear their hair as short as the men and never have had to shave their heads upon matriculation.

Ok cool, I'll forget about all the matches I coached against the citadel and all the times I've been on campus! Thanks for the insight.

The C of C has really, really been on a downturn in the past several years. Sad to see. The Citadel has won two out of the past three contests in this crosstown match up after years and years of C of C domination.

Oh gosh, you coached against The Citadel and have been inside Mcalister Field House. I had no idea you were such an expert.

The Citadel goes to 18-0 with a four-set win over Wofford.
29-31, 28-26, 25-21, 25-23.
The Citadel managed the win without freshman starter Angelina Sayles, who was last year's Nevada Gatorade POTY.

Wofford (#143) is the only opponent on Citadel's schedule ranked within the Top 200 (Massey Rankings). Massey has Citadel ranked #103 before the ETSU result. That ranking probably won't change much unless they lose to Wofford. They meet again Nov. 2 at Wofford. It will be interesting to see how the selection committee positions them, if they are undefeated at that time.

BTW, it is The Citadel, not Citadel.

The Citadel goes to 21-0 by dispatching Samford in Charleston, -21, -17, -18.
Samford is coached by former Northwestern head coach Keylor Chan, who was once a topic of significant discussion on VT.
